Chapter 15Steve awoke to find he was alone in bed. It didn’t really upset him. He knew Jace had a life and a job, and from the angle of the sunlight coming through the window it was probably mid-morning. A glance as the clock on the nightstand confirmed his supposition. It was nine-fifteen. For a second he panicked because he should be at the shop to open in forty-five minutes. Then he remembered it was closed today—and why. “Hey, sleepyhead.” Jace stood in the doorway, holding a cup of coffee which he brought over to Steve. “How are you feeling?” “Good.” As he took a sip of the coffee, Steve realized Jace was dressed for the day. “Thanks for letting me sleep in.” “No problem.
