Chapter 13Steve groaned when his phone rang. He ran his hand over the nightstand until he found it, and answered with, “Why are you calling at the crack of dawn?” “It’s eight-thirty, you’re due at the shop at ten,” Jace replied, sounding amused. Jace’s words brought Steve fully awake. “Give me fifteen to pull myself together. Are we stopping for breakfast? Never mind, we are stopping for breakfast if you don’t want me to faint from hunger.” “Can’t have that. I’ll meet you in the lobby.” With that said, Jace hung up. Steve took a fast shower, dressed in the fresh clothes he’d brought with him, packed, and was down in the lobby sixteen minutes later. Jace greeted him with a hug and a kiss, which Steve returned enthusiastically. “By the way, Pops comped us, again,” Jace told him a few mo
