Van’s POV—
Elina and Lex left me alone with Kiara and went to Elina’s suite which was adjacent to Kiara’s. I closed the door and walked to Kiara’s room. She was in a sitting position leaning back on the headboard. I moved near her and sat on the bed.
Kiara felt my presence and opened her eyes but the moment her eyes fell on me, she flinched and recoiled with a disgusted expression. Honestly it hurt. It hurt the way nothing ever did! I felt guilty but I didn’t know what to do next! I have never been into any relationship. All these years I have loved only my Queen and that was mostly one sided and imaginary.
I don’t know what I felt for Kiara was love or not, but I believe it was.
