"Charlotte," I heard someone say my name softly, pulling me out of restless sleep. I blinked my eyes a few times and looked up at my mother, feeling my neck protest in pain. "Mom," I breathed, "Have the doctors say anything yet? I asked, clearing my throat. I was sleeping in the sitting position, and my body, especially my neck, felt so sore. "He is in a stable condition right now," She answered me, "You can go home now. Take some rest. You look awful, " She said, sitting next to me.
