We were at the dining table having breakfast, I looked over at Zavion and also find him staring at me. I looked away immediately but I could still feel his eyes on me. The fact that he brought a girl home last night didn’t upset me at all but the fact that they were lousy did.
I waited till everyone finished their breakfast before heading out. Last night, I’d told Izzy to meet me at the hospital around 12 and she came earlier than expected. I looked at Charlie’s picture and compared it to the girl standing in front of me.
“Wow, Eva did a great job there but why are you here early? Shouldn’t you be in school?”
“I don’t have classes today so I didn’t go.”
“Thanks for trying to help me.” I said as I hugged her. “And thank you for keeping this big secret from your brothers.”
