The Song for Alpha Dark Knight

Chapter 2

Aiden's POV

Eric is getting a lot better in combat skills. He is twenty years old while I am twenty one. Of course I am the one who taught him most of the skills he is using against me now. But that's alright, as long as he keeps getting better, that is all I need. That is all my pack needs.

I suddenly felt like I was done for today's training. I look at him and he is in his stance ready to pounce. In a swift moment, I swing my right arm as he blocked it with his left and attempted to lift me up in the air holding my waist with hid right hand.

But I got another plans, before he executes the plan I backfired his own plan and throw him down. He galls down with a thud.

"Ow man! That actually hurt" he whines as he narrow his eyes at me.

"Congratulations! But you're getting better wow" I exclaim giving him a hand.

He gladly takes it and stands on his own legs as he brush the dust off of his body.

"But how?" Eric asks me.

He and I walk to the common table where rows of bottles containing water and juices sit. The corner of table has folded towels so I grab one and toss another to Eric.

"I'm your Alpha" is the only response I could mutter.

He rolls his eyes and reach for a bottle of water.

"Good Morning. I know you're awake" Leah's voice rung in my head.

She is still my pack member so the mindlink is still on. Once a pack member leaves the pack, it's upto the Alpha to block the connection or not to avoid any sorts of unnecessary encounters.

I just don't want to keep my mindlink close. It should and will always be open for her. I mean, she is my best friend after all. Can't believe she'll be using the Queen's mindlink with me very soon.

"Good Morning" I manage to greet her back.

"Any important works you got today?" She asks me with nervousness filled voice.

"I just.. I'm just worried. I need you here Aiden" she whisper.

I close the mindlink for a moment and turn to Eric who is waiting for my mindlink to be done.

"Cancel everything today. I'll be off to Bloodmoon pack. Luke will join me tomorrow. So take care while we're away" I order him.

He bows as he leave without turning back.

"I don't think I can come Leah. I've got several Alpha Duties still undone. I'll be there tomorrow so why bother?" I ask her again and try my best not to give off.

"Gosh! You're so mean" she scoffs and block my mindlink.

I laugh to myself as I walk to my pack house. Lana and Zenon on the couch kissing each other as Luke and I walk in at the same time.

He looks like he just got out of shower and is walking downstairs at the moment.

"You have grown ups in the house" Luke scoff.

"I would totally agree with Luke on this. That was sooooo ew!" I say as Lana turn beet red and hide behind Zenon who's a laughing mess.

"Ok. We should have been cautious but he is so cute I couldn't resist kissing him" whispers Lana as she walks away like nothing just happened over here.

I walk towards the couch and sit beside Uncle Zenon.

"Cute huh?" I wiggle my eye brows at him.

"Gosh this is too much now" Luke walks out in a moment.

Uncle Zenon and I laugh looking at him. His anger is indeed in control but he is always thinking about something. If Eric is right, then probably he's thinking of someone.

"Need a favour" I say to Uncle Zenon.

He is not from our pack but still an amazing Beta we have got next to Aaron. That man is something else. Often described as life of the party.

"Doesn't seem like you are asking" He chuckles.

I shake my head with a smile.

"Something came up so I gotta leave to Bloodmoon Pack. Luke, You and Lana can join tomorrow. The 2nd day from then would be the ceremony" I say.

"And alright! I'll take care of the pack and your schedule for today" Zenon say as he shrug.

He doesn't need to be told what to do. And I am blessed to have him assisting me all these years. Wonder how Luke is gonna do. He just took the position as Beta few months ago. But I asked Uncle Zenon to assist him for few weeks. I guess Luke doesn't need assistance anymore.

"Thank you so much. I'll leave right away." I say.

"Nah uh! Breakfast is mandatory Alpha Boy!!" Lana's voice boom from the kitchen.

I smile to myself as I yell "Yes Beta Female!!"

I quickly run to shower and slip myself into comfy clothes. I also shove a couple pairs of clothes into my duffel bag. I already got few of my spare clothes over there. Still, just for any emergencies.

The heavenly smell of Grilled Cheese Sandwiches hit my nostrils. Lana makes some amazing Grilled Cheese but we all still miss Leah's cooking. She is a pro and especially her risotto.. damn that's a show stealer!

"I see my favourite" I say as I sit before my plate with breakfast.

Lana just threw a smile at me plating one for her own. I take my time enjoying every bite of it because like I said, Lana's Grilled Cheese is so yum it'll leave you wanting for more.

"Have a safe trip. We'll join you soon" Uncle Zenon yells.

I throw a peace sign as I walk out without turning back. I quickly put everything in the passenger seat and make my engine roar.

It's just minutes away since I drive super fast. Not really boasting but I actually hate driving slow. The thrill this fast driving has, it leaves you in either oooh or awe! And I love that feel.

I also have free access to the Bloodmoon pack lands. Because even I am a Malloy. I may not really have King's blood running through my veins but I got the powerful Malloy blood. Apart, I guess I have already made my mark as one of the powerful Alphas so yeah, *not boasting again!*

"You still angry on me?" I mindlink Leah making my way to the pack house.

"Angry? Who? Me??" Asks Leah but it clearly shows that she is still angry.

And if I'm not wrong, nervous as well.

"I told you I'll be there tomorrow" I mindlink her again.

"Alright! I don't wanna force you but I'm just so nervous I don't know what to do"

Yup! Like I said , nervous as well. I mean.. we are best friends for years so I can actually make out how her voice sounds when.

"Oooookay" I whisper.

"You're here. Aren't you?" She asks.

Damn no matter how much I try my best, she just catches me super fast. I just reached the pack house and I see Leah already waiting at the main door. I smile to myself again.

Her face just lit up as I walked towards her. She doesn't waste a second to run and wrap her arms around me. It's that warm best friend hug I always missed past two years. It's been two years Leah moved to this pack. To get herself trained to become a Luna and a Queen.

The Bloodmoon pack members welcomed her with open arms. I can't stress how happy I am for her.

"Thank You!" She whispers.

"You don't have to. Best Friends got each other's back always, remember?" I ask her as I pull away.

Leah just nod her head and throws a smile. She then throws a playful punch at me and oh boy her grip! She is all set to become the Queen to all the werewolves around the world.

Her wolf might be tiny comparing to Carl's or mine or any of our family. But indeed a powerful one since she is destined to be the Queen. To rule. And I am always proud of her.

"Yoooooo!" I hear that familiar voice.

"Oh look how his face is all smiles and lights now" Leah scoffs as she rolls her eyes.

Carl and I give each other a bro hug and just didn't want to pull away so soon. Our hug lasted a moment longer than it should. Carl and I grew up together and saw everything together. Except for the time I was in Crescent Moon Pack during my training days.

"Sudden surprise?" Asks Carl.

"Because my best friends need me at their important day -"

Carl and Leah share a hug. Then Carl pecks Leah on his cheek which Leah expertly changed into a kiss.

Ok! Firstly why am I watching this? Second... Why am I even here in the first place!!

"Gosh I feel like a third wheel already" I scoff as I walk into the pack house.

I hear giggles and their sorry in unison follows. As if I care now.! I guess I should find someone .. like Uncle Juan did.

Nah! Love should happen. I can't imprint on someone just because I should have an heir. Wonder what this life has in store for me. But one thing I know, no one and no thing can or will replace Nadia. She is the one for me. That will never change. Second Chance is a myth that a bunch of fools believe in.
