"I have good news for Callie too," Dad announced.
All eyes and ears were on him, looking and listening intently.
“Good news, Callie, your mother is getting better and will be discharged from the hospital soon,” Dad said.
Callie was ecstatic about the good news and was about to cry. I know how she misses her mother so much.
“T-thank you, Uncle John and Aunt Cora,” said Callie, and burst into tears.
