The Bounce Back
Kirby's PoV
"Callie, aren't you pregnant yet?"
I asked Callie in the midst of our steamy kisses. She refrained from our embrace, and pushed me away. From the expression of her face and the fire in her eyes, I could tell she was furious.
"You took my pills, didn't you?"
I was just about to take her hand when she gently withdrew. I made another attempt, only to feel the impact of her palm against my cheek. It wasn't painful when it touched my skin. What makes it painful was the fact that she hated me for what I did.
"Yes, I did," I admitted.
Her face turned red, her eyes ablaze like wildfire. Now her lips pressed into a tight line, conveying her intense displeasure. As her hand swung towards me for another slap, I swiftly intercepted, catching her wrist mid-motion.
