Kirby's PoV
Accused of murdering my boss, I felt imprisoned within my own room. Regret hit me because I confronted David in his office and had a fist fight. If I had been more patient, perhaps this tragic turn of events could have been avoided.
I heard a knock on the door. I know it was Callie. She had a key to my room, so she could enter in anytime she wanted. She came to comfort me. Sad and angry emotions surged within me. I don't want her to see me like this. But I longed for comfort and reassurance, yet, on the other hand, I felt a deep sense of shame and despair for the situation I found myself in. So many 'what ifs'. So many regrets. I'm glad, despite everything, Callie was there.
