As soon as Tony came into the club Friday evening, Kirk got off a stool at the bar to join him, asking, “Any more murders?” “Bite your tongue,” Tony muttered. “No murders, although I did have a visit from the detective. He quizzed me about the tenants. Not that I know most of them. They’re pretty much people I only run into occasionally, coming and going. Still, he took notes.” Kirk saw the others at one of the tables, and he and Tony went to join them.
