Chapter 5 Tony jumped when there was a knock on his door late Tuesday morning, the day after his talk with Kirk. He saved his work and went to see who was there. He was about to open the door, then paused to put on the security chain he’d bought first thing that morning—his bow to Kirk’s suggesting he needed to get some security on his place. With the chain on, he opened the door as far as it would go, keeping his foot at the bottom edge as an extra precaution.
