Chapter 4 Tony’s life returned to normal over the next week. He thought less and less about the murder—to the point that he could take the elevator without hesitation when he needed to. His book was progressing well. His love life was nil, which he figured was to be expected. He might hang out at the club but it was to be with his friends, not to cruise—unlike Kirk, who he’d seen there twice in the last few days. Tony had done his best to ignore the fact that both times Kirk had come in alone, and left with a different man each time. “If I had his luck…” Greg had said, sounding envious. “It’s going to catch up with him someday,” Dan replied. “When the guys he goes after decide he’s too old and they want someone their own age.” “Yeah, but until then…” Tony knew Greg didn’t really mean
