Chapter 2 - The Done Deal

I walk slowly in the room behind Barry and the room is then silent.

“Alexandra, I would like you to meet Danny!” My father says loudly.

I look at Danny and give him a shy smile.

His eyes look straight at mine and I feel my body tingle.

Danny looks away coldly and looks to the man on his left, they seem to be mindlinking each other, I can't help feeling anxious.

I look down and smile to myself. I have come out in black leggings and one of Adrians old long baggy t-shirts.

I look at Adrian who is now looking at his hands in deep thought, I look back towards my father.

“So, do we have a deal?”

“King Carl….I have to think of my pack and I am afraid your princess does not look like Luna material” he says bluntly.

I am not even surprised by his answer, in fact I completely agree with him.

"Danny I would watch your tone as you speak with me….else I will not grant you extra land" King Carl hissed at Danny

Danny looked at his friend and after a few minutes he looked back at King Carl. His face looks dark and angry.

"Fine…I can give you men…strong men, I do not require your princess." Danny says without looking in my direction.

I can't help thinking how my parents can give me away.

I feel so amused by the whole thing and let out a soft giggle. Everyone goes quiet and looks at me, my father looks angry and Adrian winces knowing I will get into trouble.

I shake my hair out of my face, with a little cough I then apologize with a smirk on my face as I bite my lip and look towards Danny shyly.

Danny's eyes widen as he stares into mine, my smirk disappears as I feel uncomfortable and resume my face looking down.

"Princess Alexandra as your Luna will strengthen our alliance Danny, the land will be yours" My father says quickly.

I am shocked when I hear Danny say "You have yourself a deal" he stands up with his hand out to shake.

I look at them both as they shake on the deal with a confused look, I see that I am not the only one confused as I look at the man next to Danny.

"Father can I please talk to you over this….I don't think Alexan." Adrian says as he gets interrupted.

"Adrian enough!" Kind Carl says as he sits back down finally.

I see Katy on the other side of the room with the trolley and see tears in her eyes, I had no idea that she was there. I look away as I feel the lump in my throat.

Katy has been my best friend for such a long time, we have snuck into so many places in this castle and she made me feel so much better about my life as I wasn't alone when I was around her.

"Barry, can you take Alexandra back to her room so she can pack a small bag?" My father says abruptly.

Barry nodded, I looked around the table in front of me. My mother has not looked at me once, Adrian looks sad and worried and Danny just picked up his drink and started drinking.

I start to walk out, I am shocked is that it?

Is that all I am good for to be this stranger's Luna because I am a princess?

I turn around in anger, flicking my hair around my shoulder staring at my mother.

"Are you even going to look at me mother!?" I say angrily.

My father jumps up "Get her out Barry!" He orders.

I push Barry, "You are supposed to care…the both of you…but you never have cared in your life!" I say now getting pulled out.

I look at Danny "Don't worry you can get rid of me and say it was an accident…they wouldn't even twitch!"

With that I storm out and run straight to my room crying.

I get in my room and sit on the bed, I cry a little harder and hear a tap on the door.

"Lex, it's me Katy!"

I run to the door and hug Katy.

I cry for a little while and then dry my eyes as I start packing my things.

"Lex, this sucks I am going to miss you but I am hoping for a new good life for you" she says wiping her tears.

I look at her and give her a faint smile as I hear another tap at the door.

"It's Ady, Alex please open the door" I hear my brother's voice and run to the door.

"Did you know!?" I look at him with daggers.

"Only found out five minutes before you" he says defeated.

"I will leave you two alone….Lex stay in touch if you can, I love you" she gives me a quick squeeze and leaves.

I plonk myself back on the bed and cry some more.

"Alex…..come on you're stronger than this, you have to be." He says with uncertainty in his tone.

"Why, Ady… what are you not telling me?"

I say looking at my brother.

"Alex you have to be good for this Danny, no sneaking around with omegas like you do here! He is nuts and kills people that don't abide…even women!" he says sitting next to me.

"Do our parents know this?" I said to him in shock.

"They must do…everyone knows the Crimson Moon Pack" he says looking at me.

I suddenly feel panic, I have read about the Crimson Moon Pack, Alpha is so strong and has anger issues.

My heart beats fast but I still have some sick amusement in my head.

I smile at my brother

"Well I am not our parents' problem anymore" I say as I get up and start packing my bag.

I grab my allergy tablets from the side of my unit and look at Adrian "what about the tablets that Viktoria makes for me?" I say a little flustered like everything I know is falling apart.

"I have another box and can send them to you" he says as he gives me the box.

I give him a hug

"Thank you brother for everything" I say as a tear slips down my face.

I pack my last bits and make my way down the main stairs with my brother and Barry.

I shake my head and smile in disgust as I don't even see my parents anywhere in sight.

A tall gentleman comes over to me "I'm Drew Crimson Moon Pack driver and guard…let me take your bag and lead you to the car"

"Thank you that won't be necessary I will bring it myself" I say as I walk past Danny and his friend without looking at him.

I stop and turn around as I look at Adrian.

The lump comes back in my throat as I smile and nod to him, unable to say goodbye.

I turn and follow Drew out of the castle towards their black car.

How can my own family do this to me?

Danny P.O.V

Alexandra walked out with Drew, feeling like I may have made a mistake. I turned to Will, my Beta, and I mind linked to him.

"Wow childish?" I looked at him.

"Well, she has just been thrown out of the castle? Can I ask mate what made you change your mind about taking her for the deal?" he said back.

I don't answer.

Something in me had a tingle when I saw her eyes. The violet in one eye was really cute and unusual, but it was the way she cheekily bit her lip.

I said nothing as Adrian came over.

"My sister is special to me and I need your word that she will be safe!" he said in a low tone.

"She is none of your concern now. She belongs to me." I said sternly.

He gets closer and Will steps in his way.

"I am Alpha and the next in line King, anything and I mean anything hap...." Adrian was interrupted.

"THATS ENOUGH ADRIAN" King Carl shouts as he walks down the stairs.

I looked down with respect to the king's entrance and looked back up with hate in my eyes towards Adrian. I don't take kindly to threats.

"We have an arrangement, Adrian. Danny is correct. Your sister is no longer our concern," King Carl said to Adrian with a look to back down.

"I will send my men to you tomorrow" I said as I nodded to leave.

"Yes, I expect an invite to the Luna ball, to keep up appearances for our alliance." The king added.

"I will be in touch," I said with a nod of respect, and left with Will to the car.

"This is going to be strange" Will says.

I didn't say anything. I am feeling pissed off that the whole meeting did not go my way.

I know I need a Luna to help make me and my pack stronger. I am nearly thirty.

I have lost faith in the moon goddess to give me a fated mate and I can not wait any longer.

I sat in the car and looked over at Alexandra.

She is really pretty, her skin looks so soft, her lips look juicy, but she is just so young.

She looks up at me and I see her eyes. I find the violet really sexy but she just looks like a moody teenager and, if I am honest, I can't see me having a Luna this young.

Oh Goddess, what must I do now?
