The words the Fitz spilled out of his mouth gutted me. I was dumbfounded by what he was saying. I couldn’t believe he would tell Finn we were basically sleeping together so he would take me on as a client. I couldn’t believe he would say I kidnapped my daughter and have a case of child endangerment against me, which is totally not true. Those words hurt more than the whole me sleeping with him. The ride to Ray’s was quiet and I couldn’t read his expression. My phone sat in my hand as I fumbled with it, wanting to pull up my banking app to show him I never would do anything of the sort, to show him the payments I made to Fitz for his half ass crappy services. I felt like I needed to prove to him that Fitz was lying.
