The meeting.
Cassandra
"You there, Cassandra."
My boss called, his voice an irritated grumble. He always sounded like that.
Without wasting time, I wiped my hands dry on a towel and hurried over to the back of the counter where he stood, looking over something on the cocktail menu. He made me nervous, because his razor sharp eyes always watched the employees for the slightest mistake.
This was an expensive bar, with even more expensive drinks, so any mistake could cost a worker their job. Luckily, I had been able to stay off our boss' bad side for so long.
"Leave those glasses for now. Go attend to that table over there. They are important guests." He pointed to the side, and my gaze dutifully followed his hand.
It was one of the best tables we had in the bar, leather couches arranged to form a half circle. And sitting on the couches were four men, who looked like they dropped down from paradise itself. Actually, it was one of the men that arrested all of my attention, because the rest could not even be compared to him.
He was in a trim, black business suit that looked sharp enough to cut diamonds, and it moulded his large and manly body perfectly. His short brown hair was slicked back, accentuating the strong blue eyes on his gorgeous face. He was in a conversation with the other men, but from the way he sat like he owned the world, the power and confidence rolling off him, I just knew he was the one in control.
And that made him even more devastatingly attractive. My body was flushed with heat for that reason.
"—what are you still standing around for?" My boss' voice suddenly cut through my wandering thoughts.
I jolted, completely startled. I stammered in embarrassment, "N-nothing. Sorry, I'll get going now."
Without risking another glance at his scowling face, I grabbed a cocktail menu and hurried over to their table. Another man had begun to talk, so it was the gorgeous man that spotted me walking up to their table.
There was a hint of interest in the way he was gazing at me, and it made my cheeks explode in a blush. I nearly tripped over myself when his eyes slowly lowered to my legs under my skirt, and he looked back up at my eyes, without an ounce of shame.
His attention felt like a live wire in my bloodstream.
Somehow, I made it up to their table in one piece and plastered on a welcoming smile. "What would you like to order, gentlemen? We have exclusive cocktails available, if you'd like to look through the menu."
"No, we'll just have some straight brandy." A man said, then glanced at the gorgeous one who I was trying not to look at. "What about you, Mr. Dorsey?"
"I'll have a look at the cocktail menu." He said coolly, staring straight at me.
His voice was nothing like I have ever heard before. So deep, I felt it wash through my chest cavity. Nodding, I handed the menu over to him but accidentally brushed his hand. Ripples of tingles filled my skin at the contact making my body react in a way that was a tad bit too inappropriate.
He picked a particular cocktail from the menu, and I went ahead to serve their drinks.
I was back at the spot behind the counter, wiping some glasses when I saw the men stand up and exchange handshakes. They must have concluded whatever business deal they were discussing, and I expected them to drop the cash for their orders on the table and leave. But to my surprise, the others left but "Mr. Dorsey" stayed.
And he was walking straight towards me.
I paused what I was doing, heart racing so fast. He stopped in front of me, then asked in that smooth silky voice, "What's your name?"
"Cassandra," I answered, softly.
His eyes hooded a little, as he repeated my name to himself like he loved the sound of it. It made me hopelessly melt inside. "Call me Zane." He said, then took my hand, and placed a very erotic but soft kiss on it.
I could not breathe. Did he just—?
He had ignited so much desire in my body, that it was obvious we both terribly wanted each other.
I bit my lip and glanced around, but we were alone in the bar. My boss had stepped out earlier, and the customers had already left. Another waitress would be coming in for her shift soon, so I had to get Zane and I out of here.
"Zane—"
My voice cut off when I realized he had moved behind me, trapping me against the counter as he placed a sexy nip against the skin of my neck. I sighed in pleasure, eyes fluttering closed. Soon, he was kissing me, harder than ever, and I was off the planet.
We ended up in a room, and he pinned me against the door, hiking my skirt up as he unzipped his pants. His body felt so solid and heated at my back, and his hands were big and greedy against my thighs, holding my legs open just for him.
A loud moan escaped me when he buried himself in my wetness, and I grabbed his arm for support. The way he moved his body was utter sin, and it felt like a complete weapon of devastation against me.
He shrugged off his suit jacket and flipped me to face him. His face was a picture of stark beauty up close, and his lips were reddened from kissing me so hard.
Stars were the only things in my vision when we both had earthquaking orgasms, after transferring me to the bed. But that heady feeling crashed the moment he got up, zipped up his pants and shrugged on his jacket without saying a word to me.
I slowly sat up, not sure what to say to him now that the lust had cleared from my mind. I didn't have to say anything, because he just slapped some cash on the table, and walked out.
