“I forgot something in the dorm that I need for next class, silly me! Would you come get it with me, Emily?” Nora asked.
“Yes!” I said, almost too excited to have an excuse to leave. “Er yes I would.” I replied a bit more level-headed as I let go of Maximus’s hand under the table and climbed off the bench.
“I’ll come too!” Sophia said as she picked up a few more items from the table before following after us.
Nora purposely didn’t go towards the bigger doors, instead we walked towards the back of the room, heading for a smaller side door. I couldn’t help but look over my shoulder once we got closer to the door, to see Brandy now sitting where I was.
