Chapter Three:Kai held his tongue and watched the others as they sat gathered around the open fire. All fueled by the abundant La’nora dung. Spits of crab legs roasted; the juices sizzled when falling on the glowing pats of poop. Thankfully, the persistent wind chased any stink away. Kai found it strange how quickly he’d adapted to this new way of living. He’d come a long way from the docks of Ra. The meat wasn’t as sweet as the firebug flesh that supported them through the Labyrinth and nowhere near as extravagant as Dorfeus’ meals, but it filled them all with plenty left over.
