Mia heaved a sigh of relief inwardly as she saw that Aiden and Seina had already left. She had sent a message in the bathroom earlier and told Seina to bring Aiden home quickly.
Luckily, Seina didn't ask much about that and did as she had requested. Feeling that her secret was so close to being found out by the person she wanted to avoid most for her entire life, it suddenly left her feeling quite terrified of the consequences.
"Why are you not answering me?" Leon stared at her questioningly. His gentlemanly aura immediately attracted the attention of some women inside the restaurant. Leon was indeed a handsome man, combined with his devilish charm and domineering look, most women would find him attractive.
However, Seina knew that what lied behind the attractive face of that man was a scheming man. He was one sly fox and extremely dangerous. Most of the time, it was hard to truly read his thoughts just by judging from his expression. He was skilled enough in hiding his true emotions.
"Sir, what do you want?" Mia tried to pull her hand from his grip, yet it only made his grip tighten instead.
"Tch, are you not recognizing the old friend?" Leon asked, this time there was a coldness on his tone of speaking. "You were leaving in such a hurry back then the last time we meet."
In truth, it wasn't the first time that Mia had seen Leon sometimes in some places that she visited. However, most of the time, she avoided him like plague and chose to hide. Only this one time that she felt herself to be too reckless, resulting in him truly being able to catch her.
"This is not a good place to reminisce about the old memories, eh?" Leon seemed to ponder about something for a while. "How about we are going somewhere to talk?"
Mia knew that this man probably persisted in making her talking to him. Perhaps, he even had a lot of tricks prepared up his sleeves for that already.
"How about going to your home? I want to know your address." He gave her a charmingly devilish smile. It was beautiful, but at the same time also gave a sense of coldness.
Mia swallowed inwardly. She already knew that this man was difficult to deal with until he got what he wanted. As for going to her home, the answer was already obvious enough.
To make it that he wouldn't be too suspicious, Mia could only frown; to show him that she was pondering about some matters that were difficult to be decided.
Mia looked at him with a gloomy expression as she replied coldly. "Let's just talk somewhere."
Leon grinned at Mia, who ignored him. This man could make her experience countless emotions inside, despite her usual calmness. With him, it was as if there was a balance that had been broken.
"Alright then," Leon called the waiter to pay for his dish and then beckoned her to follow him. Mia could only sigh and helplessly obeyed.
As they exited the restaurant of Mr. and Mrs. Wang, Leon immediately lead Mia to his car that was parked quite far from the location of the restaurant. Mia looked at the man in front of her suspiciously while keeping her guard up. She didn't want to unconsciously entered his trap.
"Why are you so vigilant before me, hmm? If I want to kidnap you, I could just snatch you right away." Leon's somehow gentle voice, that sounded like teasing entered her ears.
At his words, Mia just gave him a cold glare. She resisted the urge to snort at him. She was always someone who knew to hold her temper, but the man in front of him and his annoying words somehow often managed to shake off her control.
As Mia kept her silence, she entered the car after Leon ordered her to. Her eyes narrowed slightly. It seemed that Leon was afraid that she would run away. Leon entered the driving seat beside Mia and began driving.
Mia couldn't help but wonder what this man wanted from her. With his power, she knew that he could easily track her down, but probably he just didn't care. After all, that was all the mutual deal that benefited each other.
The silence lasted for the entire ride. Leon didn't speak and Mia didn't bother to even look at him, her eyes glued to the ever-changing scene outside the car window the entire time.
After some time, they finally arrived at the huge restaurant. Leon parked the car and lead Mia inside, then he booked the private room where the two could talk without eavesdropping from others.
"What do you want to talk about?" Mia couldn't hold it anymore and asked him. However, she still maintained the calmness on the surface. If she ever showed signs of anxiety or nervousness, she was sure that Leon would notice it. His eyes were as sharp as eagles for reading people's face and emotional fluctuations after all.
"Why are you so impatient?" Leon said in a relaxed manner, to show that he wasn't in hurry at all. Mia frowned, but she didn't push it further.
"Here, order some food. After that, then we can talk more calmly." Leon shoved the menu into her hand.
"I am not hungry," Mia said flatly. She had already taken e few bites at Mr. and Mrs. Wang's restaurant, and just by looking at Leon's smug face, she didn't have any appetite at all.
"Oh, alright then, we can just wait until you get hungry. After all, this man just wanted to treat an old friend after not meeting for many years." Leon said every word unhurriedly, without even glancing at Mia.
Mia, as cold as she was, she could still felt the anger rising inside her. How could she didn't understand his words? Although he put it that way, it sounded forceful. 'If you didn't eat, then I am not going to talk until you do. I can wait.' was probably what he meant.
Suppressing her anger, Mia let out a huge breath of air and snatched the menu from the table. She flipped the the menu while trying to calm down.
However, she was too immersed in looking at the menu that she didn't notice the sly smile played about Leon's lips. He glanced at Mia slightly while she wasn't looking, then looked away. It was hard to guess what he was thinking.
