Once again, I found myself waking up in a hospital. However, this wasn't the hospital that I was accustomed to. The noises were different, and so were the people. I sat up almost frantically until I saw Zade, Nathan, Gus and Brian around my bedside. The heart monitor was beeping loudly along with the respiratory alarms. Doctors and nurses came running into the room. "I need everyone out of here now", A nurse yelled but was quickly met with growls from all four of the guys. I couldn't help but to chuckle at them. When I did, the room suddenly relaxed and everyone stared at me. This was when I realized that I had a hospital gown on, and they were now staring at my scars. My blanket had fallen down as I had sat up, and the gown was very loose. I quickly pulled the blanket back up and covered my face. "I want everyone out of here but the four that brought her in here. Everyone else, get out", a loud voice shouted. The room cleared within seconds.
"Jenna, is it? My name is Doctor Henry. I'm the head of this hospital. Can you please uncover your face so that I may speak with you please", He asked me so gently. His voice was like that of a sweet old grandfather. I couldn't help but to do as he asked. As I uncovered my face, he was sitting at the head of my bed smiling at me. Nathan and the others were smiling too. The old man reached behind him and grabbed something out of a drawer. As he turned back to face me, I saw what was in his hand. It was a long sleeved long Tshirt. "Here would you like this on instead? It's one of the Alpha's. We keep a few in here for him, but I know he wouldn't mind if you used one". The doctor told me as he offered me the shirt. He turned around and pulled the curtain, offering me some privacy to change. As I put the shirt on, my body was like it began exploding in shocks and my neck burned like fire. The waves were so powerful I fell off of the side of the bed where I had sat up to change. I grabbed my neck where my Mark was. It was still burning like I was being branded. I didn't even realize that the doctor and the guys were now hovering over me. Zade realized I was holding my Mark. He stepped by the doctor and scooped me in his arms and whispered "The mark has gotten bigger and brighter". I instinctively pulled my hand away from it so as to not draw attention to it as Zade placed me on the bed. Nathan ran to my side. "Jenna, are you OK" he asked. The worry was all over his face. The explosion of sparks that had erupted through my body had stopped. But the burning in my neck had not. "Yeah, I'm sorry. I guess I lost my balance and fell" I answered. It wasn't a lie. I did lose my balance. I just left out the reason why I had lost my balance. I could see worry all over the doctor as he sat back down beside me. "Jenna, do you know what happened that brought you here in the first place?" He asked. I thought about it for a second. Something was wrong with Star. I began to call for my wolf, but I could not get her to answer me. I began to panic once again. "Star. Something is wrong with Star" I said frantically. "It's OK Jenna. I gave you some medicine that would calm your wolf down as well. I thought that was the case when you arrived. Do you know why your wolf panicked like she did?" The doctor asked. "I don't know. She wouldn't answer me. I could feel her panicking and my chest began hurting, and I couldn't breathe no matter how hard I tried to get her to calm down and answer she couldn't." I tried to explain. A worried look crossed the doctor's face. "Was she upset before you left or anything like that? Anything that would have caused you to lose complete control" Dr. Henry asked, worried. I looked at him. What did he mean? that I lost complete control of my wolf. I looked at him with a blank expression, not having any idea or recollection of what he was talking about. "Star forced the shift on you", Zade told me, since everyone else was just standing there. "What do you mean", I asked, confused. I don't remember her forcing her way out. Nor the pain that should have come with it. Dr. Henry spoke back up. "Have you ever shifted before now, Jenna" He asked. I shook my head no, trying to make sense of what I was hearing. "Well, for some reason or another, when you arrived, your wolf took complete control and forced her way out. Your wolf had to be sedated, and it took quite a lot to take her down. Honestly, I have never seen a wolf act like her. It was almost like a wolf searching for her lost pups, type of panic" Dr. Henry explained. Then he looked at the guys and asked "May I speak to Jenna alone for a few minutes. I promise all of you she will be OK and nothing will happen. But I need to check her over, and I need to ask her a few personal questions ". The guys looked over for my approval and I nodded. "I'm OK guys. Go" I told them. Like obedient little pups, Brian, Gus and Zade stood up and began to walk out. ZADE looked back at Nathan who was still sitting there in his seat and said "Umm that goes for you too, lover boy". Nathan looked up at him and chuckled, but he stood up and kissed my cheek. "Whatever you say. I'll be right outside if you need me" he said as he followed the others out of the door and closed it behind them. Dr. Henry looked at me and took a deep breath.
