-Selene- “Sh*t,” I muttered as my car struggled in the muddy hole it had become lodged in. I pressed the accelerator repeatedly, but the wheels only spun in place. Leaning back, I sighed in frustration. “Really?” I asked into the darkness. When the GPS directed me to this so-called road, I should have realized I was in trouble. Why didn’t I see this coming? I glanced at the dark forest ahead, illuminated only a few feet by the car’s headlights. All I could see was a muddy trail. It looked like I would have to continue on foot.
