-Valerio- Octavia was still sleeping when I returned. She looked almost peaceful as she breathed in and out slowly. I walked over to her and gently stroked her cheek. It was strange to have her back in this room and in my bed—something I had longed for. She belonged here. I needed her here. It was clearer to me now more than ever. I took a step back and walked to the bathroom. After everything that had happened, I needed a shower. I quickly undressed and turned on the water. Before stepping in, I glanced in the mirror.
