I felt his intense gaze on my bare skin and was suddenly overwhelmed with dark thoughts. My eyes closed, and I dreaded seeing his reaction to my body. Was he repulsed by the small scars? Did he find my pale, skinny frame unattractive? What if he had changed his mind?
I couldn’t bear it any longer and tried to cover my bare br*asts with my arms, though they were not difficult to conceal.
“No,” he growled softly, gently grabbing my wrists and gazing into my eyes. “Never hide from me.”
He pressed his lips to mine, and I melted into his embrace. Despite my lingering tension, he slowly guided my arms away from my body.
“I love the sight of you,” he whispered, kissing his way to my ear. “You are so beautiful. You take my breath away.”
His reassuring words were exactly what I needed
