Chapter Eight:I am too tame

"Are you going to tell us what happened during the actual date? Because we are very confused right now! Did Ryan not like you? Why are you here lady? Amelia interrogates and I just sigh.
"She got cake out of this, something good must have happened!" Jax is basically challenging me at this point. She must know that if an old creep bought it, I would have tossed it in the trash first thing when I parted ways, it accepting it would have even happened to begin with!
I regret my stupid decision that I made last minute now.
I do not know why my stupid self decided it would be a great idea to have the date with Ryan later tonight but it was really really stupid, a lot more than I can explain!
I guess in my defense, I just wanted to conclude things already. This cannot drag past this weekend or things will get out of hand.
"It is a long story, I really do not have time to explain. I already told him we will be meeting him later tonight and he is expecting us.
There goes my final pass of the week! Thank goodness Sunday is not too far.
"here is what actually happened..." I begin telling them a whole new story about how he wants to get with Tracey and my next hot friend that I will hand over when they start to act like they will disappoint.
Jax looked suspicious the entire time I was explaining and her eyes linger on mine and I try my hardest to avoid her gaze. If there is anyone who is going to see right through me, it is her! She is my absolute bestest friend amongst the four and it has a lot to do with the fact that our friendship started long before we met the girls. We have been friends since we were nine months. She is really good with twisting her parents fingers because they are so overprotective of her that they did not want he to go far for school but since her grades were amazing, meaning she could get into the school, they just decided to let her be. I do not know what I would have done without her for the first year of this school, it was hell and I honestly feel like I would have been depressed if I did not have her having my back.
She knows me like the back of her hand, if not more. She will know immediately when I am lying although I am really hopeful that it does not happen this time around!
"I already told you that this would happen but I did go on that date and sat through it! I am too tame for him and he made it very clear! You all know that I hate embarrassing situations so I told him about Tracey and let him know that she would be a much better match for him and he was pretty interested, he was keen, I lie, he was ridiculously keen and we have to go on this date now and figure out how I am going to get him to forget that he already has a threesome promised to him! "I finally take a deep breath in after rambling off like that without breathing, at least not in a manner that is sufficient!
" Threesome? Threesome with Ryan Engler? I'll go! I will take your place honey! Glady! Gladly!" Amelia blurts out and I just want to Burts out laughing when I realise how they have actually bought this!
They are the reason his ego is so inflated!
"how did you even propose that to him, Julia?" Jax arches her brow and I immediately swallow hard.
Shit! She cannot convince the girls otherwise because I need this to happen!
"Jax... Please!" I give her those warning eyes and she smiles to herself.
Basically... She knows that I am lying but she will not spill the beans.
I have no idea how the idea works but the price I have to pay for cleaning my reputation is basically nothing compared to this entire situation right here.
I have to wear the dress that they wanted me to wear and show up all prettied up.
I hate how much of my skin is actually showing, but if it means this can end tonight, I am willing to take my chances and be uncomfortable for a few minutes. Hopefully the date won't last that long!
I let Amber do my hair but I totally refuse wearing makeup beyond red lipstick.
Everyone gets ready super fast while I stay in the room by myself, texting Ryan about the date.
He gives me an address where I can meet him and although I am nervous about just going to a stranger's house, at least I know I will not be on my own.
Amber is driving us to the location and I have to give everyone credit for looking so good.
I take the seat right next to Amber and watch as I use my last pass to do something so stupid.
I would never do this on a normal functioning head! Something has definitely gotten into me.
"This is not even that far, you know? Are you ready?" Amber questions and a sigh leaves my mouth.
Am I ready?
Am I really?
I cannot answer the question with anything other than a shrug and an exhale ans She just accepts.
The drive goes on for some time longer before I get confirmation that we have arrived. I am a little confused when we get to the house and it is actually a lot bigger than I expected. I do not even question or try to make sure I am not alone in this bewilderment, because I obviously am.
The others do not even look phased by the sight.
"okay.. Everyone head out! It is time to do this! I actually just want to eat that cake already but since this has to happen first... My gosh!" I can just sense her eyeroll as Jax complains.
I cannot even focus because now I am confused about who I was actually on a date with. Maybe he is really as popular as he claims. But I would not know because I fought the urge to look him up till I won.
We all head out and Jax urges me to text him and let him know we are here, which becomes harder than it should be. I have my eyes glued to the screen trying to leave a phase that is more than just "I am here" for him to find, when I suddenly hear giggles and see everyone running to the car.
I furrow my brows, confused for some time before it becomes clear what they are doing.
By the time I am trying to rush to the car,Amber has already locked all the doors and she refuses to open them, not for s**t!
The car eventually speeds off and I am left stranded, in front of a f*****g stranger's house, with not even my bag on me.
