Two Days Later
Amy Harbinger, the partner representing Pluto Mining Services, held her cellphone tightly in her left hand as she scrolled the laptop screen with her right hand. She was frantically searching for an email she received a few days earlier on another case as she awaited an attorney meeting in a conference room at the Tucson office of Kennermore Creighton in the royalty case. The law firm was located in a twelve-story building near the federal courthouse in downtown Tucson.
“Brett, I can’t find the initial disclosure statement. I need to send it to the client for approval before providing it to the opposing counsel. Can you email it to me again? It’s due tomorrow. The client needs to review the disclosure before noon.”
