Kayla's p. o. v

He finally agrees to stay with me. I can feel his acceptance to stay with me through our bond. It is a lot stronger than it should be for two people just meeting, But not for us. We have not just met.

"Okay, but do you have any scanners to find any bugging devices, With you. Dad will have bugged the cottage to keep tabs on you four ... You want me to stay for you, Don't you? And not just for me to tell Damian everything ..." He begins to ask but I shut him up with a kiss. He was asking the last part so softly. I shake my head and kiss him again. He licks the seam of my lips and I grant him entrance. Holding me close and firm as he deepens the kiss with me. I hear a cough and we part, Me a little shakily. It's Damian, stood there smiling at us. I can see and feel he is happy for me.

"Hey, Err Can I have a word with you Ryder?" Damian asks.

"I know what you want to ask about, Kayla just explained that... I will be coming to the cottage with you all and staying with Kayla. Do you have a scanner for bug devices with you? If so, we will need to de-bug the cottage first and then I'll sit and tell you everything I know." Ryder tells him and looks to me. I smile and nod at Damian. I quickly use hand signals, To say that we could be over heard here. I feel Damian open the link to me.

"Did he ask to stay with you? Is he jumping the gun with you?"  Damian asks me.

"No, I asked him to come to the cottage, He explained there is only four bedrooms and I want him with me... I, we have waited so long to find our mates, please let him stay!" I beg him with my eye's as well, normally he can never say no to this look but with him taking a protective brother role, He might say no for the first time, To me.... He gives me a long look and then nods. I let out the breath I didn't realise I was holding.

"Well, you best come meet the gang!" Damian held his hand out to shake his. They shake hands and we all walk back to the pack house. I can see Ryder's brother, He has a furious look on him, scowling at Ryder because he is holding hands with me. Like, Ryder just stole his only toy! I think he is going to have to mark me as soon as possible or I can see his brother chasing after me. Some boys have even tried to mark me by force!! I soon beat their asses before telling Damian and then he beat them even more... Ian looks my way and smiles a flirtatious smile as we reach back to them. I do not like how he looks me over. I can also most feel his desire to run his hands over my body.

"Princess, you must be hungry and in need of some rest... Let me escort you inside for a seat and some refreshment... Just tell me what you want, and I'll give you anything, you only need to say the word and its yours!" Ian says as he goes to take my hand from Ryder... Ryder's grip becomes tighter; He doesn't want to let me go But as Ian is the eldest brother he can't refuse. He has the right to show me the pack grounds unless Damian states otherwise. I answer Ian as politely as I can, So I do not cause any offence and hope he doesn't pull the 'I Insist' Card out!

"No Thank-you. My mate will be escorting me wherever I need to go or get anything I may need from now on." I turn to Ryder and smile and he lifts his arm to my waist. I speak with Ryder and try avoiding Ian saying anything more to me.

"Honey, shall we get some of your clothes to take to the cottage with us.... We can then go get settled in for the evening. I am really tired from the long drive, Please babe?" I speak in a soft delicate voice, Playing the delicate little princess. Hinting for us to get away from here as quick as possible.

"Of course, princess... Anything for you, My love. I'll be 5 minutes if that's ok... Wait here with your brother and I'll escort you and show you both to the cottage." He winks and jogs off. Me and Layla are laughing our asses off inside my head and Damian is smirking at the way we just handled that ... Although Ian and the Alpha Jake, Do NOT look amused at my little escape from Ian.

"So, Jake, we will be taking our leave once Ryder returns back to us. I've asked him to accompany us with him being Kayla's mate ... Specially, as she has asked him to stay with us while we are here at the pack and he has agreed. So, we will not be needing to take up the young Alpha's time up tomorrow, to guide us around the pack lands tomorrow. We know how tight training can be, Don't we Kayla?" I can hear the amusement in Damian voice.

"Oh, yes! I would hate to take such a promising Alpha away from such important work and training." I nod agreeing but look straight at Ian as I say the next bit.

"I remember ALL my training very well, Brother! It can be quite taxing." Just as Ryder gets back, He sees the sharp look I'm giving Ian and takes my hand, to reassure me he is there, and I calm a little going back to the delicate little princess look. 

"If your highnesses are all ready, I can lead the way." He say's giving my hand a quick squeeze. I nod to Mark and Mia, who have been watching everything. Mia had followed me and Ryder earlier but stayed far enough back to give us the privacy we were needing... When doing anything Official they are all ways close by, Like private bodyguards. Not that either of us need it. They do that as to blend in, People don't realise they are there till it's too late normally. Damian says bye but I just walk away looking at Ryder like everything disappeared around me but him. We all follow down the paths and I realise they have placed us in a part of the territory close to the boarder that could be easily attack by rogues.

"It's quite far from the main grounds... Any reason for that?" Damian asks, Spotting the same thing as me and Ryder just nods and then points to his ear. He then talks and make a fake excuse.

"Oh, Father thought you would like privacy from the main bustle of the pack house ... Everyone would make a beeline to see a royal. Specially the royal twins!" Damian realised, That Ryder is just making something up for pretences and doesn't ask any more question. We will wait till we are inside, and Mia can cast a silence bubble for us all too as well as us removing any devices. I see the cottage and it is stunning! All stone walls and thatched roof. It is really too big to be classed as a cottage but there are vines all over the walls and big double-glazed windows. I can see a big bay window that looks out onto the Forrest and a solid wooden door. Ryder unlocks and opens the door. We walk into a full open plan downstairs, there are single standing support beams all throughout the downstairs. The kitchen is all sleek design of chrome and black, there is a large deep oak table and wall unit with a glass front. Bookcase’s line one wall in the living-room with a T.V in the middle. Large leather sofas and chairs spread round filling the space. There is a downstairs bathroom suite with marble tiles and sinks, Tub and toilet finished with a walk-in shower with eight jet sprays.

Mia and mark pull out the scanners and go round the whole of the downstairs, no space remains unchecked. They go upstairs as I look around quietly. They come back down with 12 bugs! They really were desperate to listen in on us. I hear Mark chanting and another four floats down the stairs and four from around the ground floor. f*****g 20 bugs in total! Mia then takes over chanting and even the bird noises disappear before she nods. We are now in a silence bubble; any noise won’t get out or in. Mia and Mark stand guard as we talk. With us being in the bubble we won’t hear any sounds from outside, It's the only downside to the silence bubble.

"You are free to talk now. Boss." Mark says and I pull beers from the fridge.

"Come on, Let's sit." I wave everyone to the living-room and hand out the beers, Opening them in the process. Mia and Mark follow but do not sit. They stand ready to 

"Right, first thing I want to know ... Is she ok?" I ask Ryder and he shakes his head to say no. I close my eyes and he begins to explain.

"I'm best starting from the beginning ... My dad and Ian have been having money troubles this year, I have no clue why ... I have been trying to find answers but every time I try and get in the office, I am always disturbed one way or another... Suddenly 6 months ago, they started flashing the cash and having repairs done to the pack house and homes surrounding it ... I asked where the funds came from and Ian laughed saying they had come up with a new business... I asked what and he said it was Alpha business, nothing for me to worry about ... After that I kept finding strange scents around the lands ... They were all different she-wolves, but we never actually got a new female member. Again, when I asked, Ian shut my questions down ... So, I went to dad ... I got my first beating that night off him, I asked why in between his fists and he said it was 'For poking my nose where it doesn't belong'." He uses the air finger quotes and I take hold of his hand with a squeeze. I remember sensing him in pain for the first time 6 months ago ... It wasn't till a few weeks later that I sensed him so bad he could have died from his injuries if his wolf didn't kick in quick enough and I figured out how to heal him through our connection, The mate bond ... I nod for him to continue.

"Well, as me and Ashley was best friends, she saw the cuts and bruises and asked what the f**k happened. I told her what happened and my suspicions that they were doing something illegal. She agreed we need proof before going to the Royal pack to get whatever they were doing, Shut down ... She began searching with me and being my look out while I was places, I should not have been ... They caught her on watch out one night and rather than give me up she told them she was looking for whatever bullshit they were doing, I am begging in her through the link, for her to shut up and I will just hand myself in! She said that one of us needed to be free to stop them ... They would not let her go anyway, so she made me promise to find evidence and then find her. We would then run to the Royal pack ... I agreed and followed them to the prisons below. Once they gave her a beating, they left her there in the cells and I snuck in to try and get her out. I didn't care for the evidence; I just want to get her out and run ... She refused to come, she said They told her, she was going where the other She-wolves was and she want to go there and have me follow them so we knew where the girls was ... The others could be our evidence ... I reluctantly went along with it ..." He took another drink, like he was fortifying himself for the next part.

"I hid, watched and followed them; they took her to a building off our territory. It's between us and the Red moon pack, Right bang in the centre ... It’s a wolf 'w***e' house!" He stopped as Damian let out a furious growl and started pacing across the living room.

"Don't tell me that's where they are holding her!" He shouts, Ryder nods quickly and holds his head low ... Damian's wolf Max, is pushing to shift and his aura is beating out in an angry pulse. I take hold of him forcefully by the front of his top and yank him down to his knees in front of me before speaking:

"Damian, Max ... Calm the f*****g hell down! ... Even Mia and Mark are struggling to keep your aura contained within the house ... If you let this out this house, the game will be lost! Rein it in NOW!" I growl at him. Only I can bring Damian to his knees like this and forcefully give him a direct order to control himself. I am the only wolf to ever beat him in a fair fight ... Only me and Damian know this, so everyone is surprised when I dominate him like this. Ryder speaks to me:

"Baby, Let go of him like that! If he loses it, he could hurt you!" He comes towards me but with every step he takes Damian growls become louder.

"NO! Stop Ryder! Don't come any closer ... Max or Damian would never hurt me, Okay?" I shout, never braking eye contact with my brother. I see Ryder nod from the corner of my vision.

"Damian, I said CONTROL IT!" I growl with enough force to make the walls shudder and even Ryder steps back. Damian reins in his aura, Calming Max and I let go and stand beside Ryder.

"No-one must know I can do that; does everyone understand!" I look round at them all, Including Mia and Mark in this, As they all nod.

"You good brother?" I ask and sit down, Pulling Ryder with me.

"Yeah, Thanks ... Max was nearly in full control ... He has never done that in human form before, so it caught me off guard ... hahaha Least he knows not to cross his sister! He learnt that lesson last time, I think!" I can see Damian is trying to ease the tension, So I laugh a little before asking Ryder to Continue.

"Carry on Ryder ... Damian's good and in full control again." He nods and Continues

"Well, they took her inside ... Ian went in with them and he had forgot to close her mind-link off from the pack because they don't normally take our pack woman there ... I kept my self-close for the first 2 days. She asked the girls questions and told me they were all either rogues that our warriors found, when they were on the run or women, they had had stolen from other packs from as far away as they could ... The whole place was full of them, more than the 20 you told me you were searching for Kayla! She mind-linked me and told me there is close to 50 she-wolves in there on her last count ... They sell a few hours or a night with the women to any wolf from either our pack or the Red moons ... But now I have seen rogues going in too! She told me on the second night that Ian had paid the highest amount to 'Brake her in' ... So that night we tried to brake Ashley and abut ten of the new girls out ... We were all caught, and Ian took her that night instead, Forcefully! I was beaten to an inch of my life all while Ian was with Ashley, as they forced me to watch what he did through the peep windows at the same time as they gave me the beating ... A big one-way glass pane ... Since then, they hold her life over me. If I try to break her out or leave the pack for help, she will die! They also broke the link from her to anyone in the pack now too. Dad warned me that her life is still in his hands. If I say anything to you while I am here, He will end her... You CAN'T let anyone know that you know the truth yet or you will lose your mate and my best friend, Permanently Damian." He hangs his head afterwards ... Like this was his fault, But It isn't!

"Ryder, Look at me?" I ask and he looks up to my face.

"None of this is your fault ... All the fault lies with your father and brother, Doesn't it Daman?" I say and turn to my brother.

"Yeah, It does and once we get them out and she is in my arms ... I will tear them limb from limb! They will feel PAIN, like they have never known!" He growls. Mia snaps her fingers and dinner appears on the tables. The three take their plates and disappear leaving me and Ryder alone.

"I never meant for her to be caught ... I thought she was safer as look out than inside rummaging for s**t with me! ... How will you, Damian or Ashley ever forgive me for all this?" A single tear slips from him and I pull him close.

"There is nothing to forgive Ryder ... Come on, Grab the bags and I'll grab the plates, let us go up ... Damian will have a plan come morning ... Forget it all for tonight, you’re not alone doing this now. We will close this s**t down and get the women out and safe ... We will install a new Alpha for the pack afterwards. One we trust." I say and he collects the bags before we walk upstairs. I take the room with the open door and its beautiful ... All the furniture is oak wood, and it has an en-suite bathroom. The big four poster bed as white Muslim see through drapes hanging down with red sheets and quilt. The whole room has a romantic theme to it with an open roaring fire too. We sit on the wiccan seating in front of the big patio glass doors, Watching the sunset and the moon rise. Layla speaks to me:

"Kay, He needs to mark us tonight! I have a feeling that if he doesn't, someone will forcefully try to mark us. His wolf is on board, but he is refusing to ask you, as he wants to wait for you to ask him to do it." She says and Of course that would be his response. One thing I learnt about him over the last 6 months is that he will always put me and my wants and needs first, Before himself.... But he does not realise I have wanted this from him for months!

"Ryder? ..." I say his name to catch his attention to ask him just that! ...
