I watched Xander walk out with a sinking feeling in my heart, I don't know why but I have this horrible feeling that all this is not going to end well and one or both of us will not be coming out of this alive. I conceal the feelings from Jamie and go to hold her in my arms for now. There was a mattress in the corner, and I walked us over to it. It was reasonably clean, So I sat us down.
