#18 irritating the Al[ha

I walked through the room running my hands across the bed. it was soft and luxerious. nothing but the best in his house. it always had to be the best. I had to admit it was the one thing i missed. the rooms were always so comfortable and the beds were the softest i had ever been in. i opened the balcony doors allowing in a cool breeze. the omega girl walked to the closet opening it up for me. "there are clothes in here for you if you need to change. i gathered them for you from Luna Christines wardrobe. the Alpha asked me to make sure you had them."

I played this to my advantage. i never expected him to go one minute without having another woman in his bed. he always had a wandering eye. "Luna Christine? if he is married why would he have wanted me to share his room? i would never want to push his wife out. that would be aweful."

the omega looked around making sure the door was closed. she stepped foward and lowered her voice. "be careful with him. he likes many women. Luna Christine is not the only one he shares a bed with and it isn't always by choice of the women." there was my in. an ally in an omega who was warning me. i fained shock.

"you mean he isn't as nice as he seems> he has been so nice to me since he found me in the waterfall. should i be worried?"

she looked a little worried. talking about your alpha was not something that usually happened."be careful. he is not a nice man. I can't say anything else. you should get ready for dinner. Alpha doesn't have patience for tardiness." there was a knock at the door and the omega bowed at me then went towards the door and opened it. she stepped aside as Christopher walked in. he looked displeased at the omega still being there.

I looked at her knowing how to irritate him further. "Please Omega can you get my change of clothes out and lay them in the bathroom for me and get the bath ready?" i wasn't giving him the satisfaction of being alone with me. She looked at Christopher as if to ask for permission. he nodded at her and she busied herself with my request.

he stepped closer trying to reach my hand. i didn't reach out to him instead i kept my hands at my sides. he pulled his hands back from me trying to keep his seething anger in. I wasn't making it easy for him to manipulate me. "Angel i would like to have dinner with you tonight."

I looked over his shoulder at the omega as she scurried around my room doing what i asked of her."I want to meet your wife. I want to reassure her i am not here to take her place." he was visibly irritated with my words and was losing the little control he had on his temper. "I just think that it is important for her and I to be friends. I mean she is your chosen mate and I am sure she would want to know that I will not take her place in her bed that I would never dream of doing that to another. i mean i would never dream of being the other woman or making someone else that. she must be so hurt right now."

I knew his temper was bubbling to the surface. he needed me to accept him back as my mate and women meant nothing to him, they were trash to him. Toys to use as he pleased. he raked his hand down his face trying to rid himself of his frustration. "Angel, do you not feel anything> you are my fated mate but it is like you can not feel it. What is the last thing you remember?"

"I remember coming out of the water. I'm not sure why i was there though. it is all blank. I mean i feel like this place is familiar but i have no actual memory of it. can you tell me about my life here before? How did we meet? Did the mate bond happen right away? I'm sorry this must be so hard for you." I had to turn towards the balcony giving my back to the Alpha to hide my smirk. His anger was to my delight. Iknew i was going to have to do a better job at hiding it. "so tell me," i shifted facing him once more. "can i meet her tonight at dinner?"

His eyes flashed darker. clearly his beast trying to push his way to the surface. I watched him close his eyes trying to calm himself. I had to admit he was showing great restraint. "I will send her an invitation for tonight." frustration was evident as his emotions bubbled. he grunted to the omega girl while i stood there."Katherine come to my room and help me." i knew exactly what tht meant. she was his next conquest.

"actually sir," i wasn't going to let her be forced into this. he was not getting it tonight. "i mean alpha, can she please stay? i would be most grateful if she could help me." he stilled and his eyes did something i had never seen before. they turned red. a deep glowing red. this had to be his demon side pushing through the surface. If i hadn't seen it myself then i wouldn't have believed it but there it was. it was gone just as soon but i used this to my advantage. i needed him on edge at all times. "did your eyes turn red just now? i thought i saw...."

he cut me off in a heartbeat trying to hide what just happened."probably the lighting in here. anyways she can stay. be ready by six." he left slamming my door. i was definetly left with the impression that dinner was not an option. i winked at the omega named Katherine. her face looked at me grateful for saving her from Christopher. "thank you Luna Angel. I know what he was wanting me to do, I want to save myself for my mate and only him."

"call me Angel please. i really have no intentions of taking the Luna title away from Christine. i am sure she has been through enough. just try to always say you are doing tasks for me and stay clear of him as best as possible. i will try to protect you. i don't sense your wolf. how old are you?"

"thank you so much. i am only seventeen. i won't get my wolf for a while." I wish I could say this shocked me. the fact that she was a minor and he was trying to take her for himself but it did not surprise me. nothing he did surprised me.

"I am going to shower quickly adn get ready. you just hide out and stay here until it is time for you to go home. from now on make sure your day starts here with me. this way we can keep you from the alpha." He was sick going after a child. all the more reason to get rid of him. it looked as though his new beta was the same way as Alpha. I wondered how deep this corruptiob ran in this pack. i got into the shower quickly mind linking Jacob. it was an added bonus to being his mate.

Jacob i am in and i am pretty sure the beta is as corrupt as christopher. i have managed to irritate him. i have the sword of inubus hidden safely.

i washed fast and got out. ddrying off and dressing quickly i wore a high wasted one shoulder that flowed down to my ankles. there was a slit that made its way all the way to my thigh. it was a light pink in color. it was beautiful and would definetly test christophers resolve tonight. i sat on a bench drying my hair while katherine came over. "here let me help you. i can be your lady in waiting. i will do your makeup as well. i brought some over from Luna christine as well." it took about an hour to finish my hair and makeup. looking in the mirror i was amazed at her work.

"wow, i love it. thank you." there was a knock on my door and Katherine quickly went to answer it as christopher came walking in. i came forward turning to katherine."Please go straight home. then tomorrow just report to me. i like having you around. you can be my chamber maiden. i thnk Alpha would agree thst you should report to me and no one else. no reason to be doing his bidding plus my own. it would be so much work for such a young girl. thank you Katherine." she dropped her head as to not look into his eyes and curtsied. Chrisopher just groaned and nodded. I knew he didn't want to cause a scene. he needed me for his sick plan of taking over the other packs with his miracle.

he once again reached out his hands to me and i avoided them walking out of my bedroom door. i could hear his groaning under his breath. this was going to be the worst dinner of his life. I was going to make sure of it. I'm not sure he will think of me as a miracle by the time i was done with him. i would enjoy every minute of this.
