Lilyan awoke to an odd, high-pitched beeping noise. She sat up and turned on her lamp that was on the side table to see Zayd pressing a button on his watch. A glance back at her clock showed that it was 5 am. Thank the stars that he had remembered to set an alarm because she hadn't. Lilyan jumped out of bed and rushed to her closet, going around Zayd and his sleeping bag, and flicked on the closet light. “I guess I'll be in the shower,” Zayd chuckled. “Okay,” she responded.
