I couldn’t deny I found it a little funny seeing Chris being escorted out. I even remembered to give him a small wave and a smug smile as he was led away. But as soon as he was out the door, Andrew and Rick came over to me, looking worried.
“Who was that exactly?” Andrew asked.
I shrugged, acting like it was nothing. “Someone who couldn’t take the hint when I told him I didn’t want to see him again.”
“Another admirer?”
I smiled and winked, unwilling to answer that.
“When did you attract an alpha?” Rick inquired.
