-Madeleine- I smiled at Kate as I leaned my arm on the counter, resting my head in my hand while watching her make the drink. I had never really touched alcohol. My mother had a complicated relationship with it, and I didn’t want to end up like her. She could barely handle a few drinks and often became… unpleasant. But why not give it a try?
