“We are here,” Josh announced as we pulled up to the entrance of the building where the fundraiser was being held at. He carried a cocky grin on his face, his hand resting at the top of my dress's slit, his fingers tucked in underneath the fabric. I shoved it off for the third time, still angry from earlier. I had walked out of Amatheon's room, fuming at the circumstances I had placed myself in. The tension between those two men was like a ticking time bomb, just waiting to go off and with neither one of them willing to back off, I decided to be the one to walk away. It was clear I would not get to continue my conversation with Amatheon tonight and therefore had no reason to stick around for that bomb to go off.
