At a wig shop, he cautiously entered and shyly told the sales lady that he wanted three different wigs for his girl friend who was about to have chemo therapy and was very worried about losing her hair. He stressed that he wanted one that could be braided like he tried at Laura’s. The sympathetic woman helped him pick out three different colors and lengths and assured him that each would please his girl, but told him that they could not be returned. Emboldened by his experience in several stores that morning, Don knew that he had one more important purchase and this one was really difficult to carry out.
