Elaina was sure that Jalen was talking to her.
But she wasn't used to the questioning tone and words.
"Answer me. Will you accept any other man except me?" Jalen asked again. His voice sounded cold and even a little angry.
Elaina couldn't help but laugh. She looked at Jalen with interest. "Mr. Halton, are you questioning me? Who are you to me?"
Jalen was silent.
"I'm afraid you're used to being in a higher position, so you speak in a commanding tone to everyone. Is that so?
"Unfortunately, I am not your subordinate, and I have no obligation to answer your question."
When the words were finished, the elevator arrived. Elaina took the lead and stepped in without any intention of staying with Jalen.
