Luna stares at him in horror. Is this part of the usual dream? She grips the bedsheet tighter around her, feeling the warmth and smoothness of the silken sheets. It feels and smells expensive. This doesn’t seem like the usual dream where she simply stands in a corner watching everything happen to someone who looks like her. This time, she’s not merely a spectator. “W-Where am I?” The man grins. “Somewhere safe. Don’t worry, you won’t be treated like the other girls.” Her heart pounding, she dares to ask. “What… what happens to them?” “Not for you to worry about. Just stay there and look pretty. He’ll be here to collect you, soon.” Before she can ask again, the man with silver eyes stands up and leaves the room, winking flirtatiously at her and closing the door behind him. Luna hugs herself instinctively, even though the room is not cold but rather comfortably warm. Fear is a cold companion. Who could these people be? The man who just left, she remembers from her dream as someone named Triton, but other than that, she knows absolutely nothing about him. And who is this person that is supposed to 'collect' her soon!? Help. She needs help. Does anyone even know that she's been taken? She no longer has family or close relatives and she lives alone…but perhaps her friends or colleagues at the immigration centre will soon realise that she's missing! Oh, but by then, it might already be too late! Luna cannot wait for help, she must save herself now! Looking around, trying to find a way to escape, she finds out that the room has no windows and the only way out is through the door which is probably guarded, if not locked. Feeling quite desperate, she searches the room for anything she can defend herself with, in case someone tries to… There's a tray of food on a vanity table in a corner. She immediately gets off the bed to see if there's anything she can use but aside from the paper plate containing cold cuts of salted meat, cheese and bread, there is only water in a tall plastic cup. There are also a few grapes and sliced oranges. Whoever has taken her is very careful. But not careful enough. Luna eyes the tray under all the food. It's metal and looks sturdy. She wonders how many heads she can hit with it before it gets dented. It wouldn't be bulletproof but somehow, she doubts they will be interested in shooting her if she's quite valuable to whoever is coming to get her. Suddenly she hears a commotion outside and she immediately grabs the tray, not minding the food being spilt, preparing to defend herself in any way she can. But nothing could have prepared her for the terror that burst into the room, destroying the heavy mahogany door as if it were made of cardboard. Half-man, half-wolf, it scans the room and zeroes in on her, growling threateningly. Frozen in fear, she dares not breathe as the terrifying being slowly walks towards her, sniffing the air, its cold blue eyes missing nothing. The monster stops in front of her and draws in a deep breath and Luna's heart pounds desperately in her chest. What horrible nightmare is this!? The tray. With trembling hands, she forces herself to raise it, seemingly in defence, like a shield… before hitting the werewolf as hard as she could on the head. To her absolute horror, though, the metal tray didn't even seem to hurt it. The werewolf stands there…staring at her as if amused at her pathetic effort. The tray slips from her shaking fingers and hits the floor with a loud bang but neither she nor the werewolf gave it another thought. It opens its mouth, showing sharp teeth and a long red tongue as it looms closer, deliberately doing so slowly to torture her and Luna faints, both from terror and lack of oxygen because of how long she has been holding her breath. Her last thoughts are "Thank god this is just a bad dream…" ~ The werewolf, an alpha named Cain, stares at the unconscious female curiously before shifting back to his human form. "Odd." He mutters. "She's not my fated mate… but my wolf stirs as if…" His thoughts are disturbed by a mind link by one of his warriors. "Alpha, I think we're done here. The girls are safe now. We found them in one of the bunkers. There are several other human captives and Jules already put them to sleep so we can leave them in a safer place and tip the police about their whereabouts later." Cain clenches his fists in a sudden burst of fury. Whoever is running this circus is going to pay with his life for even laying a finger on his pack members. "Did you find out who..?" "No, Alpha. The guards are all mercenaries who have no direct contact with whoever is responsible. Although…" his warrior hesitates for a few seconds which annoys him a great deal. "Spit it out!" "Someone did escape, apparently. Left by a chopper from the rooftop as soon as we breached the building. Just one man, according to our scouts." "We'll find him soon enough. Scan the whole place for any clues. There ought to be something that can tell us where to look." "Of course, Alpha. We're on it now." He looks around the room, then stares at the woman on the floor again. This one seems to be different from the rest of the captives, held in the best room and given so much more freedom to move around. She was also a victim, about to be auctioned to the highest bidder, and there is no doubt about it because the door has been locked from the outside. But this woman has food and water to drink and she isn't chained to the bed or to the wall, which is more than what can be said about the other captives. She looks clean, unhurt at first glance and treated with more care. Cain wonders… Grunting in annoyance, he lifts the still-unconscious young lady, taking her with them. His beta Dan doesn't blink an eye when he arrives at the car carrying the woman, merely opens the door for them and closes it behind him. "Where to, Alpha?" "Home."
