Chapter 1 f**k Me Please

797 Words
"Help me! Please, somebody help!" Outside the sheep pen, in the thick brush, Scarlett Hamp was forcibly fed a pill by two drunken shearers. Reeking of alcohol, they dragged her towards the farm tool shed by the road. Their grip was strong, and her wrists, already turning red, throbbed with pain. They clutched beer bottles and spewed vulgarities, leering at her with disgusting smiles. Scarlett fought desperately, her tear-streaked face resembling a wilting flower. She had come to Nas State for a bit of peace and never imagined encountering such a nightmare. "Let go of me, you jerks!" Scarlett yelled for help. One shearer slapped her, knocking her to the ground. As the stench of alcohol overwhelmed her, Scarlett's pale cheek reddened, and her ears rang. Her arms were forced above her head, and her clear eyes were filled with dread. She needed to stay calm and figure out an escape! "Stop! I'm the farm owner's wife! How dare you treat me like this?" she lied. One of the drunks grinned. "Our boss isn't into women, let alone married. You thought that lame lie could save you?" He reached out to touch her face. "Instead of pretending to be someone's wife, you can be mine for real." They didn't buy it! As she contemplated how to escape, one of the drunks tore her shirt open. He leaned in to kiss her, his breath reeking of smoke and alcohol, suffocating her. Scarlett closed her eyes and, using all her strength, headbutted him hard. The impact left her dazed. It also infuriated the drunk. Ignoring his pain, he grabbed her neck, lifting her off the ground. Scarlett struggled for breath, her vision blurring from the lack of oxygen and the effects of the drug. Just when she thought she would die there, the grip on her neck suddenly loosened. The drunk before her raised his hands in surrender, dropping to his knees. A gunshot echoed, and the bullet exploded behind one of the men. The two drunks, terrified, fled without looking back. The farm fell silent. Scarlett coughed, cold air filling her lungs. Before she could see who had saved her, someone yanked her up from the ground and dragged her to a nearby grassy area. There, a luxurious SUV was parked. The man in front of the car was mature and strong, his dark stubble exuding raw masculinity. His muscular arms were exposed, reminiscent of a "dreamy daddy" from romance novels. His long fingers toyed with a cold weapon. He was surrounded by several burly men, resembling mafia more than bodyguards. A middle-aged man, his face bloodied, knelt before him, pleading. "Sir, I'm sorry. Please let me go." Jason Bilbo chuckled, standing up. His tall figure cast a shadow over the cowering man. "You want me to let you go? But you haven't paid the price." The air was tense with fear as the man begged, his head hitting the ground repeatedly. "I'm sorry. I'll return everything. Please don't hurt me..." Jason pointed his gun at the man's head. "Mr. Bilbo, we brought the woman who was screaming for help." Scarlett was abruptly pushed in front of Jason. "Take care of those two idiots," he ordered and then turned his gaze to Scarlett. Quickly looking away from the pleading man on the ground, Scarlett met Jason's scrutinizing eyes. She was still terrified, trembling all over. But the man in front of her seemed even more dangerous than the two drunks. She forced herself to calm down and bowed slightly. "Sir, I'm terribly sorry for the disturbance. Thank you for saving me. I really appreciate it." Jason glanced at her. Her hair was messy, her beautiful eyes misty and red-rimmed. She wore a dirty, tattered white dress that contrasted sharply with her sun-kissed skin. He nodded coolly. "Go home." At that moment, the man who had been sent to "handle" the drunks returned and whispered to Jason, "This lady claimed to be your wife." Jason's sharp gaze shot towards Scarlett like a dagger. "My wife?" Uh... Scarlett was about to explain when she suddenly felt weak, her head spinning as waves of desire washed over her. Oh, no. The effect of the pill was setting in. Scarlett tried to steady herself, but her legs gave out, and she fell into Jason's arms. Her lips were slightly parted, and her warm breath brushed against him. Jason grasped her chin, his voice low. "What did you take?" Her mind went blank, and she didn't even hear what he said. Overcome by desire, she clung to his strong waist, her delicate face tilted up. "Take me to the car." He didn't move. Scarlett's body burned as if on fire. She felt like she was dying, her hands tightening around his waist. "Please..."
