5 Fern Then One moment, Violet and I were hidden under the table. The next, the table was gone, and we were in our captors’ grasp. The bearded one took Violet, lifting her from my unresisting arms. The light haired one took me. Svein, he was called. I stared at his face as he hugged me to his chest and missed the blur of the hallway as my captor carried me away.
