It was Rawlings who answered. “My client wishes to make it clear that he is prepared to co-operate, but that he has no knowledge regarding the murders that took place at Bhaskar’s on Sunday. My client also denies being the one to suggest breaking into the shop to kill Mr Bhaskar and his family.”
Nathan looked dubious at that, but didn’t comment on the statements, instead he asked, “What is your client prepared to say?” He could tell from the look in Crowther’s eyes that he wanted to accept the deal he had been offered, it only remained to see if he was going to say anything that would actually be worth it.
