14 After sending Mason and Grey round to the rear of the house, Nathan strode up the path to the front door, Burke at his shoulder. He rang the bell, or tried to, he heard nothing, so he rapped sharply on the door. He knocked for a second time after about half a minute, impatient for a response - with so much going on, he was keen to get at least one of the cases keeping CID busy cleared up before anything new could crop up.
