ELIJAH’S POV
Everything happened so fast. One minute she was standing close to me, and the next she was in front of Beverly. She twisted Beverly's wrist and caught the knife when it fell off her hand. It felt like watching an action movie; her reflexes were crazy.
She immediately slit Beverly's neck with the knife. Blood pumped out, splashing on her. As Beverly fell, she turned and looked at me, and that was when I saw it. I was filled with horror when I saw a knife logged on Elsa’s side.
When I say Beverly is sly, this is what I mean. When did she do this? Her plan must have been to die along with my mate, since her other plan didn't work.
I screamed her name and ran to her side, and Mark immediately joined me.
