Wow, Caleb thought as he drove away from Melinda's house. She was prickly about her home. He would figure out a way to make the place safe. Even if he wasn't claiming her as his mate yet, he needed her safe. She was part of their den and he had a duty to protect her.
So did his brothers. With that thought he found his way to his brother Sebastian's workshop behind their family house. Most days he spent with his wife at her inn, but once in a while, he still liked to build things on his own. It was Sebastian's therapy and Caleb was sure that it calmed the man's nerves that were flaring with his impending cub.
Caleb waited until his brother stopped the table saw. Sebastian took off his hearing protection. “Caleb."
“Sebastian. How's my butthead brother doing?"
“Fine until you got here,"
