All day I had been taken by surprise. From the time I walked the halls, to meeting Tommy, to now as I walk the path home with Marcus Black and my two sisters. It would have been great if I could walk alone with Marcus but something tells me my sisters will not allow it.
We had been strolling down the gravelled path for about three minutes but every time Marcus had tried to include me into their conversation, I was always cut off midway by either Sharia or Serene. So, I just remained silent while dragging my feet behind them.
The breeze felt incredible through my hair as I soaked in the sunshine. The weather had been extremely warmer than usual but it is what we needed this day. Normally, it's either raining one minute and stormy the next or just all-out cold and snowing.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't mind if it was cold or wet. I liked it when it was cold but when you have more cold days than warm days you start to miss the heat.
We were still a mile away from home when my mind started drifting off.
--Daydream--
"I love you, Larissa Snow". "I love you too Marcus Black" as he grabbed my chin, placing a gentle kiss upon my lips. I pulled him in closer as his body warmth was close to mine. I placed my hand upon his face as I gave him a deep gentle kiss. He placed his hands under my head, staring into my eyes. He laid my head down slowly on to his pillow. Loosing up my buttons on my shirt before ripping it to my side. While his finger slowly but gently sliding up from my belly button to the middle of my breast. I could feel........."
--DayDream Over--
"Larissa are you OK back there?" I snapped back into reality as Marcus yelled out with a worried expression. "Ah.... yeah... " I snapped back at him as I began to realise I was falling way behind. "I'm fine thanks. Birds look good." As I gave them all thumbs up. Marcus started giggling as he continued walking. Birds look good? As I mumbled to myself. What a complete fool I am. I was so embarrassed, so I kept my head down as I continued to follow them.
Four boys appeared in front of us blocking our way. I noticed one boy in that group as I squinted. "Ah Tommy" as I began to sigh. What is he doing here? Stalking me I'm guessing. " Hey, Marcus!" As they all exchanged hugs and handshakes. "Hey girls, I want you all to meet my friends" Marcus tried to put his hands on my back. "This here is Larissa" as he pointed his eyes in my direction. "and her sister's Serenity and Sharia Snow". Marcus then stood by his mates introducing each one "This is my best pal Tristan, Michael, Zane and of course Tommy" as I turned my head rolling my eyes. "My guess with that expression upon your face you and Tommy have already met?." As I was about to answer Marcus, Tommy quickly but in "Ah yeah we are in the same, I was asking her if she was coming to your ceremony but didn't get much of an answer" as Tommy began looking at me with a worrying face.
Since when were we in the same class?. "So ladies... will you be there?". As Tristan's eye's locked on Sharia's. "Yep! We will be there but... though we are not sure about Larissa as she has tons of work to do" she glanced at me with anger. "Oh yeah... sorry guy's" as I began to whimper. "Aw, that's too bad because it's going to be a fun night" Tristan smiled wrapping Sharia into his arms as we began to walk.
Looks like Sharia found her mate as I whispered to myself. I was relieved because she would leave Marcus alone and I wouldn't have to claw her way out.
--Mind-link--
"Larissa why are you not coming to my ceremony" Marcus glanced back over his shoulder. "I'm sorry. I have to help my mother at work". While Marcus began to pout, he lowed his head and continued walking.
--Mind-link Over--
As I watched Marcus walk off, he looked really upset. I was confused about why he would be upset or why even wanted me there but one thing for sure. If my sisters weren't so mean to me I would be there.
Tommy stopped where he stood and began waiting for me to catch up. So we could walk together. Logan glared at me and began to walk faster catching up to his best pal Tristan and Sharia who were way out front.
Tommy turned and whispered near my ear. "So, Larissa it's a bummer that you weren't coming, I wished I could take you" as he turned and faced me with a big smile.
Marcus let off a growl that made us all stop in our place. Tristan looked at me and then looked over at Marcus then calls out to Marcus "hey! Man.... let's just get these girls home" I looked at them both, confused about what was going on.
As we approached our home, Marcus started apologised for his little growl earlier. I don't think we all minded as much as we continued to walk towards our front steps. Tristan and Sharia decided they were going to take another walk but we all knew it was time for them to mate. As the rest of us stood in awkward silence. Marcus cleared his throat and quickly said his goodbye but before leaving he stopped, turned and ran up to me and Serene giving us a quick kiss on our cheeks except mine was a bit longer than Serene. He glared at me once more time and took me back through the woods to our packhouse. The rest did the same and followed. As I and Serene went inside she grabbed my hand and slammed me against the wall. With anger she yelled, "Don't think you're going tonight Larissa, if I snap you sneaking out the house or if I ever see your face there. I will rip your throat out". Tears began to form as Serene let go and headed upstairs.
I quickly picked up my bag, looked at the stairs and ran into my bedroom. Just like that, I began sobbing again.
