Later that afternoon, to Fargo’s surprise, Chip Cutter showed up in his hospital room. He carried his cowboy hat in his right hand, a stuffed bear dressed in cowboy gear, and a get well card for Fargo. Fargo couldn’t believe that the guy came to visit him, and arrived with gifts in hand, and a comforting smile. Chip was a nice guy, but his visit was maybe over the top. Then again, maybe some guys were sweet like the ranch owner, pouring his heart out to other cowboys, but getting nothing in return. Whatever the condition was, Fargo was glad to see the man, and immediately thanked him for coming.
