The two alphas faced off in the middle of the road, their eyes locked in a fierce stare. Alexander, his fur fluffed up in agitation, snarled and bared his teeth. Asher, his eyes gleaming with a calm intensity, didn't flinch.
Without warning, Alexander charged, his massive body hurtling towards Asher with a deafening roar. But Asher didn't move. He simply raised a hand, and Alexander was suddenly halted in mid-air, as if an invisible force field had stopped him.
Alexander struggled and snarled, but Asher's grip on him was unyielding. With a flick of his wrist, Asher sent Alexander flying across the clearing, the other alpha crashing into a tree with a loud thud.
Alexander scrambled to his feet, his eyes blazing with fury, but Asher was already walking away, his back turned dismissively.
