Prologue
“You should move on, man!” Mason called after me, making me sigh.
MOVE ON.
Two words that I still could not try to bring myself to understand.
Two words reminded me that I was still stuck in my past.
I closed my eyes.
I know I should move on. I am even trying to. But after all this time, her memories are stuck with me. It is a constant struggle. Between my past and me.
Why did she still matter to me this much? After all this time …
Her decision had changed everything. The moment she had decided it.
Nonetheless, I knew why she did it and for what reason.
Maybe, it was all my fault.
“Jake?” I turned my back to look at the person's voice that I've been craving to hear. When I turned and saw her in front of me, tears broke through my eyes, like a dam was broken inside me. I knelt down in front of her.
She ruined everything. She robbed me. It's all her fault.
