“It's just a coffee shop," Madison said from the passenger seat of Logan's Jeep. “I highly doubt there's a crowd inside. We'll go inside, have a simple cup of coffee, and then head home." She clenched her eyes, regretting the word home even though she liked the sound of it. “I mean, head back to the cabin. Consider it a trial run for The Wolf Inn." He really didn't look convinced, so she reached out and took his hand, squeezing it. “Look, I know it's asking a lot. If you don't want to help the Hunters, I understand." By the time, Madison finished her shower, the skirmish was over between Logan and the rogue. He had wanted to keep her from seeing the body, but once Deputies Rushton and Johnson arrived to investigate after Logan had called the sheriff, they needed her to identify the body.
