I was pacing around for a while, I didn’t hear the voices anymore, neither was there any sound. I was scared, I don’t know what was happening to me and I don’t wanna fight anything. I just wanna leave here.
I was scared, scared of what I was becoming, scared of what’s gonna happen to me. All my life I had never been this scared. But here I was. So shaken and scared. I don’t wanna be this cursed girl, I wanted to be free, like every young girl my age. Happy with their wolf. And perhaps find their mate. But no, I didn’t get that. I couldn’t get it.
Then I heard a low growl sound, I was started, but I kept my ground. Though I was having cold feet.
I was just a girl that was scared of myself, scared of who I was becoming. While I was standing, something grabbed my feet, flip me over, I hit my back on the ground, groaning, I glanced around, I couldn’t see anything, but whoever it was could see me, but I couldn’t.
I tried to get on my feet but I couldn’t. something was holding my feet that I couldn’t move.
I was struggling with it when I felt a breath behind my ears. Slow and tingly.
I shiver. I thought it was gonna say something but I heard nothing.
It began dragging me, I screamed out, trying to hold something. But there was nothing I could hold, I was screaming, as I was been dragged. I was going further into the cave, my heart was beating so fast, I thought it was gonna jump out of my chest. But it stayed. How I’m gonna fight something I couldn’t see. I was so scared, I’ve never been this scared my entire life because the old man was always by my side to defend me and fight with me. But here I was. Alone. I was all alone.
Then it stopped dragging me, I exhaled, trying to draw my legs together. I was panting for breath. I tried standing up but I couldn’t.
“Show yourself!” I yelled.
“You won’t want that..” the voice came in. It was deep and dark. It was a male.
Then I saw him flash past me, it was so fast, that what I saw was just a blur.
“Please let me go.” I pleaded. I felt his breath again, on my neck. I looked sideways and saw his eyes. I screamed.
I freaked out at the sight of him. I wasn’t expecting to see those red eyes and fangs. This face looked like that of a dead man, a skeleton. He had lost most of his flesh. He was thin and bony.
When he saw my reactions. He moved closer to me, that his fangs were touching my skin. “You blood..”
He pulled back.
“It’s black and deadly. It could kill.”
“I could kill you.” I blurt out. This was where I got my chance to attack him. He said my blood was dark, then, he couldn’t drain from it. He couldn’t hurt me.
“Why don’t you drink from it and die.”
I heard his grunt.
“I can still kill you without drinking your blood.”
I chuckled.
“You can’t,” I smirked. I stood up. He moved back away from me. Then I noticed I was taller than he was. He was a hunchback. And had no hair on his head.
He stepped back.
“So, huh, I was so scared of nothing. You’re annoying.”
He then went down, he bent them in submission. Was he giving up already?
“Your blood is strong and your aura speaks greatness. You’re not just an ordinary girl.”
I didn’t say a word but studied him.
“How were you able to say all that, ain’t you a..”
“I’m a vampire, the oldest of all, that’s still living. I’m the only one alive. And I’ve lived long enough to know, a strong werewolf when I see one.”
“I don’t have a wolf.” He’s just saying all that so I shouldn’t kill him that’s why there’s no way I could have a wolf. And he knew.
He didn’t reply. But kept his head down.
“What should I do with you?” I asked him.
“Everyone was scared of coming in here, thinking it was kind of a beast who lives here.”
“I did that to scare people away.”
“Aish! What a waste!”
I was suddenly pissed. I was had been so scared all along, thinking I was gonna die.
“Where’s the witch?”
“She’s there.”
“Where?” I asked looking around.
“Is she truly a witch.”
“Yes..” he replied with a sigh.
I need to get out of there, I shouldn’t care. I just need to leave here. I’m not going back to the Novak forest, the wolf would want to have me killed and they were probably camping there or something.
I signed.
“I need to get out of here. Where’s the way out of here.”
“I’ll lead you out.”
“Let’s go then.”
But he didn’t move an inch.
“Let’s go, why are you still standing here!”
He began walking, slowly. I stood and watched him, still couldn’t believe I was scared a while ago. This was me now. I chuckled and began walking behind him slowly.
“This way will lead you out of the cave. Then you can go anywhere you wanna go. But know this, you can’t go into any pack. They won’t accept you.”
“I didn’t say I was going into any pack.”
“Where are you gonna stay then?”
“I’ll stay somewhere were close to any pack. I don’t wanna get involved with any pack, they won’t need me anywhere. I’m just a wolf-less girl.”
“You think so little of yourself. It shouldn’t be that way.”
“Hey. Dracula.”
He looked at me, but he didn’t look at my eyes.
“You should be less threatening. Else I would come back for you.” I snarled.
He ducks his head down.
“I need to survive you know.”
Well, that was true, we didn’t say anything else as we walked out of the creepy cave. The cave was dark and had bones all over. Which step we take, we step on a bone.
“When are we gonna get out.”
“we’re almost there.”
I sighed again. I don’t know how many times I’ve been signing. I was tired. I wanted to rest. I was so tired. I felt my body was tearing up.
“This is it. Go ahead and you’ll see a way out of here.”
“Ain’t you coming?”
“I can’t leave the cave. And besides it almost dawn.”
I nodded. I turn to him.
“Thank you.”
I said to him. He smiled a little and bowed. With a last glance, I ran out of the cave, running as fast as I could, and then I jumped out of the cave.
I was out.
