Amelia I grabbed the hem of my shirt, pulling it down nervously when I yelled, “Come in!” to my guest. “Hey, honey. I just passed by to say good night.” My mother chimed in as she walked over to the bathroom. I sighed heavily and then bent down to grab my hair brush from under the sink and the leave-in conditioner. “You scared the living crap out of me.” I told her as I stood up straight and opened the leave-in conditioner. “Why? Were you expecting someone else?” She asked immediately, eyeing me as she leaned on the door frame. “No.” I shook my head, grabbed some conditioner, and raked it through my hair. “Well, then have a good night.” She said as she pushed herself from the door frame and kissed me on my temple.
