Amelia How exactly do you tell your boyfriend that, in reality, you are a mafia princess, as they call it? What exactly entails being a mafia princess is unbeknownst to me. The details are not exactly given to me in particular, and to be honest, I don’t care. I know how to protect myself, and I know that eventually, I will come across something that may require the usage of my gun. So far, this date has been spectacular, nothing like I’ve ever experienced, my dad did something like this to my mother when she was pregnant with my brother and me, and from what I recalled, that was the first time she killed someone. My mother was not a mafia princess, nor did she grow up in it, but her father, my grandfather, did teach her how to protect herself. Right now, my hand was itching, I wanted to grab my gun and put a bullet right between this whōres eyes, but I didn’t want to divulge my dirty little secret just yet. I first wanted to see how Yanex would react with my family. When I returned from the bathroom, Yanex’s comment had me thinking that maybe he knows something or perhaps he is in the lifestyle already, but I shrugged it off and continued our date. “So, when will I meet your parents?” I asked him as I looked through the menu. “You will meet them after I meet yours. I want to make sure that I don’t die over there in Italy.” He replied, making me smile. “Oh, I’m sure you will be fine.” I told him, throwing a wink over to him. I may be only eighteen, and at times, I may act juvenile, but one thing my mother taught me since I was young was always to say what I want and what I need. I had never held back with Yanex. “So, when do you return?” He asked, taking a sip of water that miss little whöre brought over right before I went to the restroom to reign my anger in. “Technically, I can return when I want. The jet is always ready for me.” I told him, trying to see how he would react. I mean, he knew my family was wealthy. He didn’t know the extent of it. Right before he was going to answer, the waitress walked back in. I inhaled and held my head high just as Yanex had instructed me. “Are you guys ready to place your orders?” She asked, looking down at her pad. I looked over at Yanex, who did not seem fazed by her 360-degree turn and asked him. “Are you ready, mi amore?” He looked up at me with adoration in his eyes. Yanex is the first boyfriend I have had, but something in my gut tells me he is the one. He is the one for me. I hope he will want to stick around once I tell him who I am. “I am, princess.” He replied, smiling as he looked at the waitress. I was waiting for her whöreness to return, but nothing came; she took our orders with the utmost respect and left us to our date. It was not like we hadn’t known each other but to feel his presence, the warmness of his hands, and the way those lips tasted and felt against mine was everything in the world. By the time dinner was done, I didn’t want to leave him. I wanted to stay longer, but Somalia was waiting for me, and I wanted to spend time with her before returning home. -Three weeks later- In the blink of an eye, I said goodbye to Somalia as we cried our eyes out. I would be going home with the man of my dreams. If these three weeks didn’t tell me otherwise, I am unsure what will. My parents were excited to finally meet the man behind my smiles and the stupid cries when we had our stupid fights. I was so nervous that they would act all cavemen and pull their guns at him for no apparent reason. “Promise me that you’ll come back.” Somalia said as she kept hugging me tighter and tighter. “I promise! Now let me go, so I can finally leave. You know how my father is. He will send the whole team out here.” I told her as we both cried on each other’s shoulders. “You! You better take care of her. You hurt her, and I will make sure that you never have kids.” She said, pointing her finger at Yanex. He shook his head while smiling. “I promise.” He replied, grabbing my hand and bringing me towards his chest. He looked down at me and then kissed my forehead. “Call me when you land!” Somalia yelled at me over her shoulder. I nodded, then continued to walk. If I looked back at her, I would start crying again. Nodding my head at her, Yanex assisted me in getting in the car. Just as he closed the door, he brought me close to him. Since the first day we saw each other, our sëxual tension had grown tenfold, but one thing is for sure, and he knew very well, was that I wanted to wait till marriage, but with the way that we were going, it was not going to happen. The drive to the airstrip was quiet, with Yanex rubbing my arm up and down in comfort, my eyes almost closing when he nudged me slightly. “We are here, princess.” He whispered as he placed a kiss on my forehead. I sat up straight and nodded at him. I went to open the door when he stopped me. “Let me.” He told me as he exited the car and walked around to open the door. Smiling at his gesture, I got out, placing a small kiss on the corner of his mouth. “Remind me to thank your father, for raising such a chivalrous man.” I told him, walking past him. The first time I mentioned his parents, I saw how he clenched his jaw, but I let it slide. This time around, I saw how he visibly got tense. I would make it my business to ask him as soon as we got on the jet. “Welcome aboard, Amelia.” Jeanny, our flight attendant, announced as I walked up the three steps to the jet. “Thank you, Jeanny. This is my boyfriend, Yanex.” I told her as Yanex was coming up the same steps. She smiled at him as he stood next to me. “Welcome aboard, Yanex, I will be your flight attendant for today, and well, most of the time, this jet is used. Let me know if you guys need anything from me.” Jeanny said, retreating to the cockpit. “Okay, come on, I need to ask you some questions.” I told Yanex, grabbing his hand and pulling him toward the double chairs. “Okay, what kind of questions, princess?” He asked as he sat down and turned to look at me. “Why, do you get stiff every time I mention your parents?” I asked him, still believing that I was making it up the first couple of times. But this time, it was evident. He got stiff and began clenching his jaw. “You see. Like right now.” I motioned my finger toward him. He rubbed his face tiredly, then sighed. “It’s not like that, princess. It’s just that I didn’t have the loving family you did growing up. My father expects something from me and doesn’t treat me like a son. My mother, on the hand, gave me enough love for both of them. So who I am is not thanks to my father, it is all thanks to my mother.” He said, making my heart shatter for him. The family had always been huge for us, meaning that we were always treated with the utmost respect and love one can give. I took him in for a hug as I placed a kiss on his forehead, an action he usually did. “I am sorry.” I said while letting him go. “It’s okay, don’t worry about it. It’s a subject we never really touched. Now, what will we do for the following eight hours?” He asked, putting his seatbelt on. “I don’t know about you, but I will enjoy and finish the book that I started like a month ago and have not been able to finish!” I told him, fishing my cellphone out and opening the reading app. “What is the book about?” He asked me, making me blush. How are you supposed to tell your boyfriend that you are reading a book about a godfather in love with his goddaughter and vice versa? “Um—“ I was saying when he interrupted me. “Is it a steamy book?” He asked, making me throw my head back and laugh. How in the world does he know what we call these books? “Yes…” I replied while fiddling with my fingers. He grabbed my chin and made me look up at him. “Never hide from me, princess.” He said, making me wet my panties. “It is a goddaughter and her godfather falling in love with each other. Right now, the sēxual tension is through the roof, but it is very good.” I replied in one breath to not chicken out and not tell him. “Interesting.” He said, making me laugh. The rest of the flight, we spent it making small talk, playing scrabble. We even tried Jenga, and let me tell you, don’t ever play Jenga in the air. It will not work. “We are about to land, Ms. Lombardi.” Jeanny said as I gave her a nod. I stood up from the couch that I was lying on, with my head on Yanex’s lap. “You ready?” I asked Yanex as I sat back on the chair and buckled up. “Ready as I will ever be.” He replied, slightly squeezing my hand. Of course, my father had Jacob there waiting for me once we landed. He glared at me but didn’t ask. We drove to my parent’s house, and when we got there, Yanex got out first and then helped me get out. “Dad!” I called out to my father as we walked hand in hand. “This is Yanex Tarantino.” I said, introducing my boyfriend to my father. At that second, I knew I had made the biggest mistake of my life. Both my parents held their breaths before opening their eyes wide. It happened so fast. Too fast. Suddenly, my father and Jacob pointed their gun toward Yanex, which now pointed his gun at my father. My mother pulled me out of Yanex’s grasp, but I pulled out of her grasp. “What the fūck is going on?” I yelled at everyone. “Honey, Tarantino is the man that tried to kill us all those years ago.” My mother whispered to me, making me widen my eyes at her in shock. What the fūck did I get myself into? How the fūck did his last name never register in my brain?
