Christian extended his right arm. With a sigh, though reluctantly, Jessie took it and together they walked down the aisle at a slow pace as the newly wedded couple. A few people clapped as they strolled by, except for one female in particular. She made a growling sound. Her eyes even glowed and her teeth lengthen as if she was ready to attack Jessie. Jessie glanced up at her husband; he didn't seem to have noticed, even if he did, he hid it pretty well. As if Christian could feel Jessie gazing at him, he smiled down at her, then winked. Causing her heart to stop for maybe the hundredth time today. Jessie was still marvelling at how gorgeous Christian was. Handsome wasn't the word to describe him and the way she felt after laying her eyes on him for the first time. "Is this man my husband for real?" "What will life with him be like?" "What would life be like in a pack? With all these werewolves, I can tell that they all hate me." All those thoughts floated around in Jessie's mind as they walked on, receiving fake smiles from the attendees. Jessie allowed Christian to lead her to the massive reception area in a grand hall decorated in the most artistic and beautiful way imaginable. Whoever decorated the place must have been a guru. The walls matched the chairs, which matched the flooring, which matched the curtains. Everything accented to each other and flowed wonderfully together. At the oval tables were pink and white napkins, on blue table cloths that held name cards Jessie didn't recognise, all done in swirls of gold writing. At the centre of each table were vases with three roses, pink, white, and blue. Jessie followed Christian to a table that stood by itself just in front of a floor-to-ceiling window. Even though it seemed isolated, they still sat smack in the middle, so everyone had an unobstructed view of them. Their table, unlike the others, had a white tablecloth, white napkins and twelve white roses, along with the simple words Mr and Mrs. Soon after taking their seats, the servers rushed out with platters of food, rushing around the room, ensuring to make sure they served the new couple first. But Jessie couldn't eat anything. Her stomach was already full of butterflies and she feared if she ate even the smallest bite, then she might just throw up. The awkwardness and tension full meal soon ended. Jessie let out a heavy sigh, sad that they all drink and laugh all too loud for her liking, sending her best wishes that are full of nothing but awkward pauses and fake smiles. But Jessie was happy that there weren't any drunk brawls, arguments or anyone trying to rip her already shi*ty hair out. Photos were being snapped, gifts were being placed on tables as everyone took their leave. Then it was just the two of them, a black car with heavy tinted windows and a man waited for Christian and Jessie as another packed away the presents in the car's trunk. "Shall we?'' Again Christian took Jessie's hand to lead her to where the awaiting car was. The moment Jessie got inside, a shiver ran down her spine, causing goosebumps to form. "Cold?'' Christian asked. Jessie gave a slight nod in response, watching as he shrugged out of his white jacket. The window to the front seat was already up, giving the two as much privacy as possible. "So, Mrs Stoll. Now that we have tied the knot, why don't we get to know each other, this will be a long car ride.'' "Do we have to?'' "Look, I know you would rather be anywhere else but here, but for this to work, we are both going to make a few changes. You will accept my lifestyle, where you are going and most of the things that you will see. The life you are used to, leave that behind because as of now. You are mine and there is no changing that.'' But honestly, after all that Jessie's father had put her through, she was glad to be anywhere but at home, but she didn't want to admit that to him. "Ok, what would you like to know?'' Jessie asked. "Everything.'' Christian smiled. "Well, I don't like being called Mrs Stoll. It's just too weird and hard to get used to in such a short time, so Jessie is fine. At only nineteen, I am still in Uni to become a veterinarian. Well, I'm not anymore at least. Would love to finish though, even if it's online. My parents have four of us, three girls, one golden boy.” ‘’I'm an introvert. Contrary to popular belief, I don't enjoy drinking tea or eating Shepherd's pie. Fried chicken and garlic bread, on the other hand, is my absolute favourite. I was once a vampire. I don't enjoy talking about that aspect of my life. I enjoy being a human so much so that I wouldn't want to go back to being a vampire. And that's it, I can't think of anything else right now.'' "Now, tell me some things about you.'' Jessie turned to him fully. "Since you started off with your name, I'll do the same. My name is Christian Stoll, I am one hundred and twenty-two years old, i-" "Say what now?'' Jessie cut him off. She didn't know that werewolves could live that long. She only thought that vampires did. For a moment, Christian seemed shocked, but the look disappeared just as quickly as it came. "I am the Alpha of a wolf pack. You, my dare Jessica, are mate. Right now, I'm taking you across a border that only werewolves can cross through, to my mansion that is fortunately or unfortunately completely surrounded by an electric fence. Nasty little thing it is, just one zap and you're dead. Assuming that you try to escape. I am going to treat you as a husband should treat their wife, as my equal and life partner. I have a separate room prepared for you, as I'm sure you might not be too keen on sleeping with me in the same bed just yet.'' "You're truly the bloody Alpha.'' Jessie rested her head in her hands as he carried on. "I will explain more along the way on how you are to behave. One thing though, I can't let you out into the human world ever again, so please, forget about that life as you get used to this new one.'' "That is something. Yea, vampires and wolves don't mix, that is just bloody wrong. Is this some sick joke?.'' Jessie said under her breath, but Christian still heard. "Yes, well. The Fates have quite a sense of humour if you ask me, but I know that with time we will learn to love each other and will make this work. After all, the Fates themselves, fated us to each other.'' Jessie turned away from Christian to look out the window, but she knew he was right; the Fates made no mistakes, and there must be a reason for this union. After being so out of touch with the other world, all of this was so new to Jessie. She was already planning to run away when she got the chance. There was no way she would stay with Christian and those hateful people that were present at her wedding. "You have nothing to worry about. I will take care of you. And that life you lived before will seem like nothing but a distant memory. Jessie could tell he had more to say, but it seemed as if they had arrived.
