Skylar has to admit, Kai really isn’t as bad as he thought he’d be. After realizing that he’s been caught, Skylar was 100% sure that Kai was going to drag his ass all the way to camp but Kai hasn’t done it so far.
He didn’t expect the son of Ares to accompany him to the shelter and orphanage and he definitely didn’t expect him to play along with him especially when they were with the kids. That was why Skylar owed Kai a thank you at least.
Kai pulls over a small building and Skylar realizes that they stopped at a motel. “Hey,” Skylar turns to him.
“Relax, it’s late and we need a place to stay.” Kai defends.
“You still have money?” Skylar asks.
“The watches are worth a lot.” Kai shrugs. “I left some cash for us. There’s a diner nearby, let’s go eat.” he gets out of the car.
